Abstract: A method of capturing digital broadcast images in a digital broadcast terminal is provided. Upon request for output of digital broadcasting from a user, video frames of received digital broadcast frames are decoded. Upon request for a multi-capture function from the user, digital broadcast images of the decoded video frames are captured at a predetermined number of shots per unit time and stored.

Abstract: Disclosed is a mobile communication terminal and a method for reproducing digital broadcasting by a mobile communication terminal equipped with a moving picture player, the method including receiving digital broadcasting data, detecting CODEC information necessary for reproduction of the digital broadcasting, while parsing the received digital broadcasting data into video and audio data, setting the detected CODEC information in the moving picture player, and reproducing the video and audio data by the moving picture player in which the CODEC information has been set. The mobile communication terminal can reproduce digital broadcasting without a separate multimedia chip, thereby reducing the power consumption of the terminal.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a device and method for displaying channel information in a digital broadcasting receiver. A broadcasting receiver receives and demodulates a digital broadcasting signal of a selected channel. A data processor demultiplexes the demodulated broadcasting signal, separates Electronic Program Guide (EPG) data and broadcasting data, and decodes the broadcasting data. A controller controls an operation for analyzing the EPG data, generating summary information on a service channel-by-service channel basis, generating summary information of programs of service channels, generating structured EPG data, and displaying the EPG data or the structured EPG data in response to a user's selection when a channel information display request is made. A memory stores the EPG data and the structured EPG data under control of the controller. A display unit displays the EPG data or the structured EPG data in channel information.

Abstract: A device and method for demultiplexing in a digital broadcasting receiver for processing packet data configured by a packet header and a payload. A buffer buffers input packet data. Processors are parallel connected to the buffer. A packet header processor checks a packet header, identifies presence of adaptation information, and generates a control signal according to the presence of the adaptation information. An adaptation information processor processes the adaptation information of buffered payload data under control of the packet header processor. A packetized elementary stream (PES) header processor processes a PES header of the buffered payload data under the control of the packet header processor. A data processor generates an audio or video elementary stream (ES) from audio or video data of the buffered payload data under control of the PES header processor, and outputs the generated audio or video ES to an associated decoder.

Abstract: A method for displaying status information on a mobile terminal is provided. The method comprises the steps of when an event is generated in the mobile terminal, determining whether a function for displaying a character image has been set for the event; if the function has been set, processing the generated event, selecting a character image corresponding to the event in a character memory and displaying an event processing result together with the selected character image; and if the function has not been set, processing the generated event and displaying the event processing result.

Abstract: A device and method for using a rotating key on a mobile terminal is provided. The mobile terminal includes a plurality of dome switches which can detect a contact signal when pressed and a plurality of contact surfaces which can detect the position of the rotating key in each direction of rotation. The device and method comprises a folder opening/closing sensor for detecting whether a folder of the mobile terminal is opened or closed; first and second display sections for displaying menus or data according to the operation of the rotating key; and a control section for controlling the mobile terminal to display a menu or data selected by the operation of the rotating key on the first display section or the second display section according to an output from the folder opening/closing sensor.
