Publication number: 20160292599Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described for analyzing and remediating operational risks in production computing systems. A risk mitigation modeler of a server computing device receives risk input data from a plurality of data sources. The modeler selects a risk scenario to be applied to the input data from a plurality of risk scenarios. The modeler analyzes the input data using the selected risk scenario to identify one or more risks present in the input data. The modeler determines a risk remediation plan based upon the selected risk scenario if at least one of the identified risks meets or exceeds a risk tolerance associated with the selected scenario, where the remediation plan comprises instructions to change data elements based upon the identified risk. The modeler transmits the remediation plan to a target production computing system. The target system executes the risk remediation plan to remediate the identified risks.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 6, 2015Publication date: October 6, 2016Inventors: Angela Cox Andrews, Steven Joseph Walsh, John Joseph Hellmuth

Patent number: 9026467Abstract: A systems and methods are described detect fraud in existing logs of raw data. There can be several disparate logs, each including data of disparate data types and generated by different and possibly unrelated software enterprise applications. The fraud management system aggregates and organizes the raw log data, archives the data in a manner that facilitates efficient access and processing of the data, allows for investigation of potentially fraudulent usage scenarios, and uses the results of the investigation to identify patterns of data that correspond to correspond to high risk usage scenarios and/or process steps. In subsequent processing, archived data can be compared against the identified patterns corresponding to high risk usage scenarios to detect matches, and the invention thereby automatically detects high risk usage scenarios and issues appropriate alerts and reports.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 2006Date of Patent: May 5, 2015Assignee: FIS Financial Compliance Solutions, LLCInventors: Jwahar R.
