  • Patent number: 10539233
Abstract: A shift range controller includes a target speed setter that sets a target motor speed for a motor based on an angle deviation between a current rotation position of the motor and a target rotation position based on a requested shift range. A requested duty calculator calculates a requested duty as a drive control amount for driving the motor based on the target motor speed. The target speed setter receives a feedback of the requested duty, and changes the target motor speed at a deceleration time based on the feedback of the requested duty. By changing the target motor speed based on the requested duty, the target motor speed is optimized for responding to impediment-causing factors such as temperature and friction. In such manner, the shift range switching responsiveness is improved.

  • Patent number: 10523138
Abstract: A motor control device includes: a state monitoring unit that detects a power supply abnormality in which a power is not normally supplied to at least one of a rotation sensor and a motor; an abnormality determination unit that detects an abnormality of the rotation sensor based on an output signal of the rotation sensor; and a decision unit that decides whether to confirm the abnormality of the rotation sensor based on a detection result of the state monitoring unit and a detection result of the abnormality determination unit. When the state monitoring unit detects the power supply abnormality, the decision unit does not decide the abnormality of the rotation sensor even when the abnormality determination unit detects the abnormality of the rotation sensor.

  • Publication number: 20190335045
Abstract: A data processing apparatus is configured to receive a selection of a first function and search for one or more devices which has the capability to perform that first function. The apparatus may then receive a selection of the one or more devices for performing that first function and, in conjunction, determine whether the selected device has the capability to execute a second function. The device identification data may be stored. Subsequently, if the selected device is determined to be capable of executing the second function, which is different from the first function selected, and the second function is further selected, the previously selected device may be displayed as having the capability to execute the selected second function. Otherwise, the apparatus does not display the previously selected device as being able to execute the selected second function.

  • Publication number: 20190327384
Abstract: A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing computer readable instructions that are executable by a computer in an information processing apparatus having a communication interface, through which the information processing apparatus is connected with a printer, is provided. The information processing apparatus has a first channel and a second channel configured to cause the printer to print an image based on image data. The computer readable instructions, when executed by the computer, cause the computer to conduct a first printing control to cause the printer to print the image through the first channel, determine whether image printing to print the image by the printer under the first printing control failed, based on a determination that the image printing under the first printing control failed, conduct a second printing control to cause the printer to retry the image printing based on the image data through the second channel.

  • Publication number: 20190303059
Abstract: An information processing device starts a browser, obtains login information, logs in to a cloud server by transmitting the login information to the cloud server, receives a content from the cloud server and displays the content on the browser, receives a print instruction to print the content, and starts a printing application. Then, the information processing device receives an instruction to select a cloud printing or a local printing. When the cloud printing is selected, the cloud printing instruction is transmitted to the cloud server. Then, the cloud server transmits print data to a printer configured to perform the cloud printing. When the local printing is selected, the information processing device downloads the content from the cloud server, generates print data based on the downloaded content, and transmits the generated print data a printer configured to perform the local printing.

  • Publication number: 20190303068
Abstract: An information processing device is configured to execute a management program and a print server program. The management program determines whether a non-compliant printer is connected to the information processing device, determines whether a print server program is running when the non-compliant printer is connected, starts up the print server program when the print server program is not running, and registers a print server configured by the print server program with an operating system. The print server program receives a print job designating the print server as an output destination, obtains individual print data which is printable by the non-compliant printer, and transmits the obtained individual print data to the non-compliant printer.

  • Patent number: 10145465
Abstract: A gear shifter performs an abutment learning, having a reference value learner that sets a reference value of a position signal when abutting a drive object to a stopper, and reduces warpage by (i) an all phase power supply supplying to the electric current to all of the plural phase coils of the direct current motor, and (ii) by reducing an amount of the electric current supplied to the coils, and by decreasing a pressing force of the drive object pressing the drive object against the stopper. The reference value determined at a warpage diminish time enables a reduction of variation of the reference value due to an influence of the warpage, thereby setting a robust reference value to account for an environmental condition such as a temperature change, for an accurate shift operation of the gear shifter.

  • Patent number: 10144282
Abstract: A shift position switching device for shifting gears in association with a shift position. The device includes a shift mechanism switching between shift positions using a drive power of a motor, an encoder outputting pulse signals in sync with a rotation of the motor, and a controller rotating the motor to a target rotation position corresponding to an intended gear. The controller rotates the motor toward a dead-end on a first shift position side of the shift mechanism while observing a motor rotation speed or an acceleration of rotation of the motor based on the outputted pulse signals of the encoder. Also, the controller learns, as a reference position on the first shift position side, a first rotation position of the motor.

  • Patent number: 10138999
Abstract: A control circuit switches over a shift range by controlling driving of a motor to rotationally drive a detent plate. A current detection circuit detects a current value corresponding to a driving current supplied to drive the motor. A current increase check part performs check processing to check whether the current value detected by the current detection circuit has increased. A motor rotation stop part stops rotation of the motor when the current increase check part determines that the current has increased. A reverse driving part reverses the rotation direction of the motor and rotationally drives the motor after stopping of the motor by the motor rotation stop part.

  • Patent number: 10088043
Abstract: A PWM control part rotationally drives a motor based on a PWM control value. A rotation speed control part controls a rotation speed of the motor. A rotation angle detection part detects a rotation angle of the motor. A reference position learning part controls the motor to rotate at a constant rotation speed until a detent plate stops at a limit position of a movable range and learns a reference position of the motor. A current detection circuit detects a current value corresponding to a driving current. A current limitation part limits a current supplied to the motor. A PWM control value limitation part controls the PMW control value to be equal to or smaller than a PWM limitation value, which is a predetermined value. A relation check part checks whether a relation between a current value detected by the current detection circuit and the PWM control value is inappropriate.
