  • Publication number: 20170307072
Abstract: A control circuit switches over a shift range by controlling driving of a motor to rotationally drive a detent plate. A current detection circuit detects a current value corresponding to a driving current supplied to drive the motor. A current increase check part performs check processing to check whether the current value detected by the current detection circuit has increased. A motor rotation stop part stops rotation of the motor when the current increase check part determines that the current has increased. A reverse driving part reverses the rotation direction of the motor and rotationally drives the motor after stopping of the motor by the motor rotation stop part.

  • Publication number: 20170307073
Abstract: A control circuit controls driving of a motor to switch over a shift range. A target rotation speed setting part sets a target rotation speed of the motor. A rotation speed detection part detects a present rotation speed, which is an actual rotation speed, of the motor. A rotation speed error calculation part calculates a rotation speed error, which is an error between the target rotation speed and the present rotation speed. A request torque calculation part calculates a request torque for the motor based on the rotation speed error. A phase lead correction value calculation part calculates a phase lead correction value of a current supply phase relative to a rotation phase of a rotor of the motor based on the request torque.

  • Publication number: 20170307074
Abstract: A PWM control part rotationally drives a motor based on a PWM control value. A rotation speed control part controls a rotation speed of the motor. A rotation angle detection part detects a rotation angle of the motor. A reference position learning part controls the motor to rotate at a constant rotation speed until a detent plate stops at a limit position of a movable range and learns a reference position of the motor. A current detection circuit detects a current value corresponding to a driving current. A current limitation part limits a current supplied to the motor. A PWM control value limitation part controls the PMW control value to be equal to or smaller than a PWM limitation value, which is a predetermined value. A relation check part checks whether a relation between a current value detected by the current detection circuit and the PWM control value is inappropriate.

  • Patent number: 9584053
Abstract: A SBW-ECU prohibits driving of an electric motor by turning off power supply to the motor by a drive prohibition device, when a diagnosis part of a by-wire control circuit determines that a shift-by-wire system is abnormal or a monitor circuit determines that the by-wire control circuit is abnormal. In this case, the motor is stopped from rotating by execution of power supply phase fixation processing, by which a power supply phase of the motor is fixed without switchover, when the motor is driven to rotate at the time of determination of abnormality of the shift-by-wire system. Then the prohibition device prohibits driving of the motor by stopping the power supply to the motor.

  • Patent number: 9541192
Abstract: A motor control apparatus includes a by-wire control circuit for sequentially switching an energized phase of a motor. The by-wire control circuit pre-stores a first table defining an energized phase address corresponding to each address and a second table defining an energized phase corresponding to each energized phase address. When receiving a drive permission code from a second control circuit, the by-wire control circuit switches the energized phase in a correct order of driving the motor, by calculating an address for access to the first table based on the drive permission code, calculating an energized phase address corresponding to the address by referring to the first table, and determining the energized phase corresponding to the energized phase address by referring to the second table.

  • Publication number: 20160290493
Abstract: A gear shifter performs an abutment learning, having a reference value learner that sets a reference value of a position signal when abutting a drive object to a stopper, and reduces warpage by (i) an all phase power supply supplying to the electric current to all of the plural phase coils of the direct current motor, and (ii) by reducing an amount of the electric current supplied to the coils, and by decreasing a pressing force of the drive object pressing the drive object against the stopper. The reference value determined at a warpage diminish time enables a reduction of variation of the reference value due to an influence of the warpage, thereby setting a robust reference value to account for an environmental condition such as a temperature change, for an accurate shift operation of the gear shifter.
