  • Patent number: 9166520
Abstract: A range switching device may switch a shift range despite resetting and restarting of a controller. When the controller is reset and restarted during a switching operation of the shift range and the shift range before or after being switched is a P range, the controller controls a motor to rotate the motor until a range switching mechanism abuts against a first limit position of a movable range of the range switching mechanism and learns a rotation position of the motor as a reference position of the motor. When the shift ranges before and after being switched are the ranges other that the P range, the controller controls the motor to rotate until the range switching mechanism abuts against a second limit position of the movable range and learns the rotation position of the motor as the reference position.

  • Patent number: 9156475
Abstract: An actuator control apparatus including a by-wire control circuit, a monitor circuit, a drive determination section, and a prohibition section is provided. The by-wire control circuit electrically controls an actuator acting as a drive source of an on-board apparatus. The monitor circuit monitors whether or not the by-wire control circuit is normally operating. The monitor circuit is provided separately from the by-wire control circuit. The drive determination section determines prohibition and permission of driving the actuator. The prohibition section prohibits the actuator from being driven when the permission of driving the actuator is not determined by the drive determination section. The prohibition section also prohibits the actuator from being driven when the monitor circuit determines that the by-wire control circuit is not normally operating.

  • Patent number: 9122252
Abstract: A motor control apparatus includes a motor that rotates a controlled object, an encoder that outputs a pulse signal in synchronization with a rotation of the motor, and a control section that performs a feedback control so as to rotate the motor to the target rotational position. The control section includes a stopping and holding control portion. The stopping and holding control portion performs a stopping and holding process in which the stopping and holding control portion supplies electric current to the motor so as to stop and hold the motor for a current-supply holding time. The stopping and holding control portion sets the current-supply holding time on the basis of a rotation speed of the motor just before the stopping and holding process.

  • Patent number: 9075376
Abstract: According to an embodiment, an ADF includes: a sheet-feed cover unit; a switch unit to be switched on or off depending on whether the sheet-feed cover unit is open or closed and including a first terminal, to which a first voltage, by which a driving motor is driven, is input, and a second terminal connected to the driving motor; and an open/close-detection circuit unit that includes a first switch circuit and a second switch circuit. The first switch circuit is switched on or off based on a threshold voltage that is larger than a second voltage to be generated in the driving motor by a jammed-document removing motion and smaller than the first voltage. The open/close-detection circuit unit detects that the sheet-feed cover unit is closed when the second switch circuit is energized, but detects that the sheet-feed cover unit is open when the second switch circuit is de-energized.

  • Publication number: 20150160640
Abstract: A current limiting circuit restricts electric currents flowing through windings and MOSs such that an average of a current value of the electric currents detected by a current detection circuit is within a predetermined value span. An MPU functions as a reference position learning controller that performs a reference position learning control to restrict the electric currents that flow through the windings and the MOSs using the current limiting circuit while rotating a motor until a detent plate stops at a limit position of a working span, to thereby learn the reference position of the motor. An anomaly detection section of the MPU functions as an anomaly detection controller to detect an anomaly in the current limiting circuit based on the current value detected by the current detection circuit during the reference position learning control.

  • Patent number: 9050904
Abstract: A shift range switcher includes a motor for switching a shift range and a controller for energizing the motor. The controller estimates temperatures of the motor and controller. The controller adds to the estimated controller temperature a value corresponding to heat generation in the controller due to energization of the motor. The controller subtracts from the estimated controller temperature a value corresponding to heat release from the controller due to de-energization of the motor. The controller adds to the estimated motor temperature a value corresponding to heat generation in the motor due to the energization. The controller subtracts from the estimated motor temperature a value corresponding to heat release from the motor due to the de-energization. The controller prohibits or restricts operations of the controller and the motor when at least one of the controller and motor estimated temperatures reaches an allowable temperature limit.

  • Publication number: 20150155803
Abstract: A motor control apparatus includes a by-wire control circuit for sequentially switching an energized phase of a motor. The by-wire control circuit pre-stores a first table defining an energized phase address corresponding to each address and a second table defining an energized phase corresponding to each energized phase address. When receiving a drive permission code from a second control circuit, the by-wire control circuit switches the energized phase in a correct order of driving the motor, by calculating an address for access to the first table based on the drive permission code, calculating an energized phase address corresponding to the address by referring to the first table, and determining the energized phase corresponding to the energized phase address by referring to the second table.

  • Publication number: 20150116968
Abstract: A semiconductor integrated circuit chip, in which multi-core processors are integrated, is usually mounted over an organic wiring board by FC bonding to form a BGA package by being integrated with the substrate. In such a structure, power consumption is increased, and hence the power supplied only from a peripheral portion of the chip is insufficient, so that a power supply pad is also provided in the chip central portion. However, because of an increase in the wiring associated with the integration of a plurality of CPU cores, etc., there occurs a portion between the peripheral portion and the central portion of the chip, where a power supply pad cannot be arranged. According to the outline of the present application, in a semiconductor integrated circuit device such as a BGA, etc.

  • Publication number: 20150035463
Abstract: A SBW-ECU prohibits driving of an electric motor by turning off power supply to the motor by a drive prohibition device, when a diagnosis part of a by-wire control circuit determines that a shift-by-wire system is abnormal or a monitor circuit determines that the by-wire control circuit is abnormal. In this case, the motor is stopped from rotating by execution of power supply phase fixation processing, by which a power supply phase of the motor is fixed without switchover, when the motor is driven to rotate at the time of determination of abnormality of the shift-by-wire system. Then the prohibition device prohibits driving of the motor by stopping the power supply to the motor.
