The clamping apparatus comprises a base portion fastened to the conduit and including a bracket for receiving an adapter. The adapter is attached to a housing and allows the housing to be rotated when the adapter is positioned in an upper portion of the bracket, and prevents the housing from being rotated when the adapter is positioned in a lower portion of the bracket. The housing is configured to enclose the ultrasonic transducer except for a housing opening along the bottom of the housing. The ultrasonic transducer extends through the housing opening and is spring biased against the conduit.

The principle advantage offered by this invention includes decreasing aeration (gas bubbles) in the bottle's fluid by establishing an air passage (168) through the mounting ring into the interior (48) of the bottle. When this air passage is used in combination with a vent assembly having a self closing vent valve (132), the system allows atmospheric air to vent into the interior of the baby bottle when a lower than atmospheric pressure is created within the bottle, thereby preventing the aeration of the fluid contained in the bottle.
