  • Patent number: 6935691
Abstract: Vehicle seat with seat cushion tip-up structure and lock mechanism for slide rail comprising upper and lower rails, wherein the upper rail fixed to the seat is locked and unlocked to the lower rail through the lock mechanism. An unlocking lever provided to the seat cushion is operatively connected via a first connecting link with a first arm element, wherein the first connecting link and first arm element are disposed at the seat cushion. The first arm element is connected with a second arm element disposed outwardly of the seat cushion, the second arm element being operatively connected via a second connecting link with the lock mechanism, wherein the second connecting link is disposed outwardly of the seat cushion. Operating the unlocking lever actuates the lock mechanism to unlock and lock the seat from and to the lower rail, irrespective of whether the seat cushion is tipped up or not.

  • Patent number: 6892611
Abstract: It is an object of the invention to provide an electric screwdriver that can efficiently transmit torque for tightening a screw and stop the torque transmission. A representative screwdriver may include a motor, first and second rotating members, a tool, a torque transmission spring and a torque transmission releasing device. The torque transmission spring transmits the rotating torque of the motor from the first rotating member to the second rotating member in order to drive the tool by closely winding around the first rotating member and the second rotating member when the motor drivingly rotates the first rotating member in a predetermined rotating direction. Further, the torque transmission releasing device moves in the axial direction of the first rotating member or the second rotating member in response to the screw-tightening torque.

  • Patent number: 6887176
Abstract: A torque transmission mechanism includes a drive shaft (31; 51; 84) and a driven shaft (32; 52; 87). The drive shaft rotates about an axis. The driven shaft extends along substantially the same axis as the drive shaft. A torque accumulator (35; 53; 90) serves to accumulate a rotational torque of the drive shaft and to transmit the rotational torque to the driven shaft due to a frictional force. A controller (20, 21, 24; 54, 57, 60, 64, 71, 73; 81, 92, 95, 98, 104) serves to control the accumulation of the torque in the accumulator.

  • Patent number: 6851343
Abstract: A representative screwdriver may comprise a motor, a body, a first spindle, a first clutch member, a tool bit, a second spindle, a second clutch member, a clutch engagement preventing member. The representative screwdriver may be selectively operated in one of a first power transmission mode and a second power transmission mode. In the first power transmission mode, the first clutch member and the second clutch member are disengaged when the reaction torque applied from the work-piece onto the tool bit exceeds a predetermined torque. In the second power transmission mode, the first clutch member and the second clutch member are disengaged when the tool bit moves a predetermined distance away from the body toward the work-piece during the screw-tightening operation. According to the representative screwdriver, the engagement and disengagement of the clutch members during the screw-tightening operation can be assuredly performed in both the operation modes.

  • Patent number: 6536537
Abstract: The present invention relates to a powered screw driver having a spindle 20 that is caused to rotate by an electric motor 10 within a range of about 5000 rpm (revolutions per minute) to about 7000 rpm (revolution per minute) when the spindle 20 idles. Because the spindle 20 rotates at a high revolution speed, the screw-fastening operation can more quickly be completed when the user of the screw driver 1 fastens the screw in a normal posture. The screw driver 1 may used to fasten screws having a pitch within a range of about 1.3 mm to 2.0 mm (i.e. about {fraction (1/32)} inch to {fraction (3/32)} inch).
