  • Publication number: 20050162438
Abstract: There are provided a system including an address generator and its address generator, capable of generating an address needed for resolution conversion or the like of display data, by using an adder and counters without using a multiplier, which is disadvantageous as regards the mounting area and operation speed when mounting the address generator on an integrated circuit. A first portion for selecting a value from a plurality of values prepared to calculate the next address and adding the selected value, and a second portion for generating a signal to control selection of the value to be added are prepared. A plurality of counters are prepared in the second portion, and the value to be added is selected based on values in these counters. This address generator is incorporated in a DMA controller, memory access controller, display controller or the like, to implement resolution conversion or the like.

  • Patent number: 6915759
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to disclose an apparatus and method for printing a spark plug, wherein an excellent print quality is obtained and maintained. The printing apparatus comprises: a marking roller for forming an ink film on an intaglio on itself; a transfer roller for transferring the ink film from the intaglio to the spark plug insulator; an ink supply nozzle for supplying the intaglio with the printing ink; and a doctor blade for scratching a surplus ink which does not contribute to form the ink film. the concave depth of the intaglio is made to be between 15 ?m and 20 ?m, both inclusive, thereby optimizing the ink drying.

  • Publication number: 20050118394
Abstract: The artificial leather sheet substrates of the invention comprise a united laminate structure of a nonwoven fabric layer A and a knitted or woven fabric layer B and an elastic polymer C impregnated into the united laminate structure. The nonwoven fabric layer A and the knitted or woven fabric layer B are strongly bonded to each other by entanglement. A portion of the microfine fibers constituting the knitted or woven fabric layer B are exposed to the outer surface of the nonwoven fabric layer A. Therefore, the artificial leather sheet substrates exhibit excellent mechanical properties such as resistance to tear stress. Having a high density as compared with conventional artificial leathers, the artificial leather sheet substrates have feel and densified feel similar to those of natural leathers.

  • Publication number: 20050119870
Abstract: A processor system capable of performing high-speed image processing is provided. The processor system includes a CPU and an accelerator. The CPU connected to the accelerator issues reservations of activation requests to said accelerator. The accelerator has an issued request number counter for counting the number of requests issued by the CPU and a processed request number counter for counting the number of processed requests. The accelerator can activate itself when a counter value of the issued request number counter is larger than a counter value of the processed request number counter.

  • Publication number: 20050005081
Abstract: A processor connected to an external bus in a conventional configuration made it possible to access its internal registers and local memory through the external bus and to read or update their contents. This created potential security threats including confidential data such as cryptographic keys being stolen and a newly developed piece of software being copied. In a conventional media processor connected to an external bus all access requests from a device connected on the external bus are honored. Security threats are reduced by providing a TLB in the bus interface unit of the media processor whose contents can be updated only from inside the media processor. The TLB checks whether the address specified by an external access request falls within the access-permitted areas registered in it. If it does, the access request from outside is passed on to the inside of the media processor; otherwise, it is rejected.

  • Patent number: 6792786
Abstract: A fabrication method of a metal shell to be installed on a park plug is provided which is made up of a small-diameter portion, a large-diameter portion, and a wrapping portion. The wrapping portion is to be wrapped by staking about the spark plug to achieve installation of the metal shell on the spark plug. The method comprises pressing a workpiece with a punch to shape the wrapping portion of the metal shell in a first cold forging process and processing the workpiece to shape the small-diameter portion of the metal shell in a second cold forging process different from the first cold forging process. This produces the metal shell which is less susceptible to cracks when installed on the spark plug and has an increased service life.

  • Publication number: 20040078971
Abstract: In a method of manufacturing a center electrode for a spark plug, a core member is press-fitted into a metal cup and, thereafter, a cold-forging process is performed to form a small-diameter portion at a closed end of the metal cup. The small-diameter portion is completely free from deformation which may occur during press-fitting operation. Thus, the small-diameter portion has excellent accuracy in shape. Furthermore, since the press-fitting is performed before the cold-forging of the small-diameter portion, it is possible to increase the press-fitting load or pressure to the extent that the core member and the metal cup are joined together with a sufficient degree of adhesion which will insure the a center electrode to have good thermal conductivity.
