  • Patent number: 6315827
Abstract: There is described an apparatus for producing a single crystal ingot capable of stably manufacturing a single crystal ingot by means of the Czochralski method, without being affected by influence of variation in extension of wires or an offset in points clamped by a clamping member. The clamping member is engaged with an engagement step formed in a single crystal which is being pulled by the CZ method, and the single crystal is pulled. The single crystal ingot manufacturing apparatus is provided with a flexible mechanism for absorbing variation in extension of the wires, in intermediate portions of the wires. Variation in extension of the wires is eliminated by means of the flexible mechanism, thereby retaining the single crystal in an upright position. Further, a sacrifice member which deforms so as to conform to the circumference of the engagement step is interposed between the clamping member and the engagement step, thereby preventing occurrence of cracking or deformation in the single crystal.

  • Patent number: 6077347
Abstract: A single crystal pulling apparatus and droppage preventing device constituted so as to enable the mechanical strength required by an arm to be decreased, and to enable arm manufacturing costs to be reduced and the pulling apparatus to be made more compact, and furthermore, to eliminate the need to provide in a separate manner a mechanism for preventing single crystal droppage, and to enhance reliability and durability by not adversely affecting a clean environment during single crystal growth. The arm has a mating member, which mates with the mating portion of a single crystal, and does not allow the single crystal to drop when pulling the single crystal. The arm undergoes an attitude change to a mating position in accordance with moving a circular motion having a circular motion support point as the center of the circular motion.

  • Patent number: 5196150
Abstract: In an injection press having a mold in the form of a moveable die positioned on a moveable plate and a fixed die positioned on a fixed plate, the moveable die is moved to a compression starting position which is spaced slightly from the fixed die, the resin to be molded is injected into the mold cavity between the two dies, and the moveable die is then moved towards the fixed die to compress the thus injected resin. The compression starting position is determined by mechanical positioning means which can adjust the compression starting position. The stroke deviation for the compression can be adjusted by detecting the position of the moveable plate during the compression stroke so that the levelness of the moveable die can always be maintained during the compression stroke. Thus, the parallelism of the two dies can be stably maintained against the injection pressure.

  • Patent number: 5108672
Abstract: The temperatures of structural members of a plastic compression molding machine are controlled so that the socket-and-spigot gap between the dies is maintained at a constant size or so that changes in the socket-and-spigot gap between the dies is maintained below an allowable limit. Working oil for the lift cylinder is passed through passages in at least the bolster, the slide, and the frame. A temperature controller can include heat exchangers and/or flow-rate control valves to control the temperature and/or flow rate of the portion of the working oil to be circulated through the respective structural member.

  • Patent number: 5059364
Abstract: A method of molding a plastic resin having for its object to enable the filling or spreading speed of a molten resin in a mold to be controlled in compliance with the shape of an article to be molded by changing the opening and closing speed of the mold or the injecting speed of the molten resin in an injection unit in compliance with the amount of the molten resin charged into the mold or the amount of the molten resin injected by the injection unit so that a stable molded article can be produced in a short time even in case the shape of a product to be molded is changed, and an injection-compression molding machine constructed to achieve the molding method.

  • Patent number: 5035599
Abstract: In a combined injection-molding and pressing machine according to the present invention, an injector (10a) of horizontal injection apparatus (10) is disposed below a stationary die plate (2) of a vertical press (1), an injection nozzle (10b) of the injector (10a) is formed into an L-shaped, and the injection nozzle includes a valve (10c) for opening and closing a resin passsage. Corresponding to extension and contraction of the horizontal injection apparatus (10), a base (14) of a platform (4) mounting thereon the horizontal injection apparatus (10) is allowed to slide about the injection nozzle (10), and the L-shaped injection nozzle (10b) is caused to contact with a lower mold (3) at a predetermined surface pressure. Therefore, color changing and purging of resin is more efficient and complete. No need of a hot runner permits to employ an inexpensive and versatile mold that is more widely used in common.
