  • Publication number: 20200350599
Abstract: To provide a sheet formed product that, in addition to being thin, has a small groove interval, groove width, and groove depth, that has a large contact surface area with oxygen gas or hydrogen gas, that is suitable for simply and at low cost producing a lightweight compact separator, and a manufacturing method for same. In the sheet formed product (amorphous thin sheet) according to the present invention, a metal matrix on which is formed a passivation layer on a surface layer thereof and that exhibits corrosion resistance has a three-dimensional surface structure, for example a groove-like uneven shape on a surface thereof. On the front surface having the uneven shape (or also on the back surface), particles of a conductive material component penetrate the passivation layer, and are exposed on the surface without being in solid solution in the metal matrix.

  • Patent number: 6918375
Abstract: In a fuel supplying mechanism in which fuel delivery pipes of a non-return type are disposed, the generation region of pulsation resonance is arbitrarily controlled, thereby eliminating various disadvantages otherwise occurring where the pulsation resonance point exists in a favorable rotation region for normal use of the engine. A pair of the fuel delivery pipes 1, 2 of a non-return type is disposed for each bank of a horizontal opposed type or V-type engine and coupled with a connection pipe 4. A characteristic period time of a pulsation wave induced by the pulsation wave generated during fuel injection of the injection nozzles 3 via a connection pipe 4 coupling between one to the other of the fuel delivery pipes 1, 2 is controlled to render the characteristic period time longer to shift the pulsation resonance point out of a low rotation region of the engine as well as to render the characteristic period time shorter to shift the pulsation resonance point out of a high rotation region of the engine.

  • Patent number: 6871637
Abstract: A fuel delivery rail assembly for supplying fuel to a plurality of fuel injectors in an engine is provided. The assembly includes an elongate conduit having a longitudinal fuel passage therein, a fuel inlet pipe, and a plurality of sockets. One wall of the conduit opposite to the socket mounting wall includes a flat or arcuate flexible absorbing surface. A high-frequency noise suppressing device such as a binding member is fixed within the conduit for connecting the one wall and the socket mounting wall. The binding member includes is comprised of a pipe, a bar or a rigid block. The binding member may be a body portion of an extending socket terminating with the one wall. Thus, fuel pressure pulsations and shock waves are reduced by bending of the absorbing surface, and emission of high-frequency noise is eliminated.

  • Patent number: 6470859
Abstract: A fuel delivery rail assembly for supplying fuel to a plurality of fuel injectors in an engine is provided. The assembly comprises an elongate conduit having a longitudinal fuel passage therein, a fuel inlet pipe, and a plurality of sockets. Outer walls of the conduit include at least one flat or arcuate flexible first absorbing surface, which is smoothly and integrally connected to an arcuate second absorbing surface. The first absorbing surface or the second absorbing surface faces fuel inlet ports of the sockets. The sectional configuration of the conduit can be flat, a telephone receiver shape, a character “T” shape, a corrugation shape, a dumbbell shape or a reverse eye mask shape. Thus, fuel pressure pulsations and shock waves are reduced by abrupt enlargements of fuel passages and bendings of the absorbing surfaces.

  • Patent number: 6397881
Abstract: A member for a high pressure fluid or a member for a high pressure fluid with a built-in slider having higher quality which can be provided at a low price, and by which the generation of tensile stress in the lower end inner peripheral edge part of a branch hole can be canceled by compressive residual stress to be effectively restrained, the internal pressure fatigue strength in the branch hole part can be improved to be excellent in durability, prevent a fluid leakage due to the occurrence of cracks and then exhibit a sure and stable function, further only the addition of the pressing force applying process to the ordinary manufacturing process will be sufficient, and complicated equipment is not required to hardly cause the problems of an increase in the equipment cost due to an increase in the number of processes and lowering of productivity.
