  • Publication number: 20190330945
Abstract: A setting tool for setting an auxiliary tool in a well includes a housing having a floating piston that separates a pressure chamber from a hydraulic chamber; and a plug that is removably located in a through passage of the floating piston. The through passage fluidly connects the pressure chamber to the hydraulic chamber, and the plug prevents a fluid to move from the pressure chamber to the hydraulic chamber or from the hydraulic chamber to the pressure chamber when attached to the floating piston.

  • Patent number: 10430504
Abstract: An example method includes receiving an input via a computing device indicative of a request to display a plurality of visual identifiers, each visual identifier corresponding to a different respective version of a document stored in at least one remote document management system. The method also includes receiving information from the document management system, determining a chronological sequence associated with displaying the plurality of visual identifiers; and generating a respective visual identifier representative of each version of the document. The method also includes displaying the visual identifiers on a display of the computing device according to the chronological sequence.

  • Publication number: 20190242205
Abstract: A hydraulically activated setting tool for setting an auxiliary tool in a well, the setting tool including a housing that prevents a well fluid from entering inside the housing; a floating piston placed inside the housing and closing an end of a pressure chamber; an attached piston placed inside the housing and configured to actuate the auxiliary tool; a fluid chamber located between the floating piston and the attached piston, wherein the fluid chamber holds a fluid; and a communication element configured to establish a fluid communication between an outside and an inside of the housing. The fluid communication makes a well fluid in the well to directly act on the floating piston.

  • Patent number: 10322888
Abstract: An end effector for the packaging industry comprises has a frame, a bridge on top of the frame, a rack and pinion assembly, actuation rods, carrier assemblies, and vacuum ports. The rack and pinion assembly is configured to be operatively connected to a robot's rotatable shaft, and to the actuation rods. The actuation rods are fixedly connected to one or more of the carrier assemblies. As the robot's shaft rotates, the rack and pinion assembly is actuated, which actuates the actuation rods, which causes the carrier assemblies fixedly connected to the actuation rods to move longitudinally along the frame. Each carrier assembly includes a carrier block and at least one pick-up member. Each carrier block has at least one arm with a grabber to cooperate with an adjacent arm with grabbers of an adjacent carrier block(s) of the same subgroup.

  • Publication number: 20190144887
Abstract: Provided herein are compositions and methods of integrating one or more exogenous donor nucleic acids into one or more exogenous landing pads engineered into a host cell's genome. In certain embodiments, the exogenous landing pads and exogenous donor nucleic acids comprise standardized, compatible homology regions so that exogenous donor nucleic acids can integrate into any of the landing pads, independent of the genomic sequences surrounding the landing pads. In certain embodiments, the methods comprise contacting the host cell comprising landing pads with one or more exogenous donor nucleic acids, and a nuclease capable of causing a double-strand break within the landing pads, and recovering a host cell comprising one or more exogenous donor nucleic acids integrated in any of the landing pads.

  • Patent number: 10192298
Abstract: A device for identifying an end of a fiber tape rolling over a composite structure is presented. The device includes a light source disposed proximate to the composite structure and configured to project a line of light at a first angle on the fiber tape rolling over the composite structure. Also, the device includes an image capturing unit disposed proximate to the composite structure and configured to capture an image of the line of light on the fiber tape at a second angle. Further, the device includes a controller coupled to the image capturing unit and configured to process the captured image to detect a discontinuity in the line of light on the fiber tape and identify the end of the fiber tape based on the detected discontinuity in the line of light on the fiber tape.
