  • Patent number: 10372730
Abstract: Techniques for cross referencing data are presented. A first database object and a second database object are linked together. The linkage is automatically cross referenced to a third database object. Access to any of the database objects can be achieved via any of the remaining database objects and vice versa. Additionally, the link and cross reference can be visualized and visually manipulated and modified.

  • Publication number: 20180369131
Abstract: A method is provided for reversibly modifying a protein or peptide on its glutamine residue(s) by performing a reaction, such as a transglutaminase-catalyzed reaction, between the protein or peptide and an amine-containing reagent, whereby the reagent is linked through its amine function to a side chain of the glutamine residue. Subjecting the modified protein to an appropriate stimulus regenerates the protein or peptide in its original form.

  • Publication number: 20180335889
Abstract: The various implementations described herein include systems, methods and/or devices used to enable false touch detection. An exemplary method is performed at a touch-sensitive device and includes performing a plurality of scans of the touch-sensitive array during a time window, response data is captured from each of the plurality of scans. Distilling a value for each respective scan from the response data captured during the respective scan. Identifying a set of peaks from the distilled values, each peak having a plurality of characteristic values. The method further includes: (i) determining a metric for the peaks based on the plurality of characteristic values associated with each peak; (ii) determining whether the metric satisfies a criterion, and (iii) in response to determining that the metric satisfies the criterion, rejecting at least some of the response data captured during the time window as representing at least one false touch.

  • Publication number: 20180304067
Abstract: A connector caps that can reduce risk of accidentally removing the cap include a locking feature where outer housing is designed to prevent removal of the cap unless a downward force is applied to the cap with counter clockwise rotation. Structural elements making up the cap locking feature can be optimized or varied, for example to require application of more or less force, more or less downward movement, more or less rotational movement, and variations of other characteristics to facilitate intentional removal and/or to prevent unintentional removal of the cap from the needleless connector, and/or to facilitate securing of the cap on the needleless connector. Optionally, a needleless connector cap can include an outer housing providing holes or openings or vents such that air can pass through if the cap becomes lodged in air passage way.

  • Patent number: 9675857
Abstract: An apparatus for testing a golf club. The apparatus holds a golf club, and moves that club through a downswing that extends from an initial position that is at the top of the downswing to at least an impact position in which the golf club head would impact a golf ball. The apparatus includes a support frame, motors, an elongate member, a gripping device for holding a golf club, and a controller. The elongate member has an inner section connected to an outer section by a swivel joint. The gripping device is connected to the outer section by a revolute joint. The controller generates motor drive signals to cause the motors to rotate to effect the downswing such that, during the downswing, the outer section rotates relative to the inner section and the golf club face is in an aligned position when the club head is at the impact position.

  • Patent number: 9619538
Abstract: Techniques for data integration are provided. Source attributes for source data are interactively mapped to target attributes for target data. Rules define how records from the source data are merged, selected, and for duplication detection. The mappings and rules are recorded as a profile for the source data and processed against the source data to transform the source attributes to the target attributes.

  • Patent number: 8871321
Abstract: A method of fabricating an ornamental purfling strip which has sufficient flexibility to be placed within a curved configuration. The ornamental purfling strips are sufficiently flexible to be placed, as a single unit, in curved channels which require the strip to bend. The flexibility results from a laminated structure comprising a layer of binding material overlain by an ornamental layer, with an adhesive or bonding agent attaching the layers together. The ornamental layer comprises a plurality of precisely placed breaks along its length. The binding material retains the individual fragments of the ornamental layer in the strip, but because the binding material comprises a flexible material, the layer of binding material is sufficiently flexible to allow the purfling strip to flex longitudinally and transversely. The ornamental layer may comprise organic shell material or synthetic materials such as synthetic opal.
