  • Publication number: 20040023678
Abstract: An arrangement comprises a number of units that can communicate with each other via at least one wireless connection system for the transmission of messages. The connection system works with first and second reception areas. A time slot system is established in a first reception area, in which system the units have access to the transmission media in question in allocated and sequential time intervals, during which the units are activated for their respective transmissions and receptions using time information executed in the time slot system, which time information refers to one or more reference times utilized in the time slot system.

  • Publication number: 20030002681
Abstract: A control or supervision system incorporates a digital serial communication and modules which are mutually communicable to this and operate with CAN-protocol. A control desk can be wirelessly connected to one or more modules operating with a signal protocol which takes no account of arbitration and/or confirmation functions appearing in the CAN-system. A particular receiving communication part executes the conversion of said signal protocol to the signal protocol of the CAN-system. A device for controlling a function in a first module in a CAN-system via a wireless connection to a second module in said system. A system of mutually separate units, whereof each unit operates with a CAN-signalling protocol, intercommunicable by means of radiocommunications operating with an identification system in which a key allocation between the units is based upon identities that are assigned by a module in the unit or a master system.

  • Patent number: 6000825
Abstract: An arrangement to control equipment over a common network. A serial network transfers commands, and receives data from a plurality of distributed locations. Equipment located at each location executes tasks based on control information received over the network. Each equipment includes a memory which contains data to identify to the serial network, the identity of functions carried out by the equipment. Sensors may be located at some of the locations for generating data for transmission over the network. Each sensor also has a memory which identifies the sensor to the serial network. The plurality of modules connecting each of the equipment and the sensors to the network are configured to read the memory contents to carry out the function identified of the connected equipment or sensor.

  • Patent number: 5883800
Abstract: A control system for control of components in mobile hydraulic equipment, the control system being in the form of a CAN system and comprising modules controlling the components and a bus connection. A signal mirroring unit is provided via which the modules are connected to the bus connection. The signal mirroring unit reflects signals generated internally in the module back to the module and prevents the signals from appearing on the bus connection, at least during an activation phase. This allows the control system to operate disruption free.

  • Patent number: 5696911
Abstract: A system includes a bus connection, and transmitter and receiver units linked to this bus connection. The connection is digital and can assume one of two signal states, zero and one. Each unit assumes listening and transmitting positions and operates with an access function to the bus. Only designated or selected units can be activated so as to be able to transmit dominant signals or pulses, in this case zeroes. Said designated or selected units are located at a distance from each other which is substantially shorter than the total length of the connection. Dominant signals which can be assigned to an acknowledgement function in the system are emitted only by the selected or designated units. Other units are prevented from transmitting the respective dominant signal and assume only a listening position on the bus connection.

  • Patent number: 5377922
Abstract: In a sensing and analyzing system for a yarn feeder with yarn storing unit, one or more sensor elements which may be coupled to one or more circuits are used for evaluating or sensing sensor information. At least one sensor element is placed in the unit, from a yarn detection standpoint, in an uncritical relationship to the unit's yarn transporting surface and a yarn turn travelling forward on this. The transmitting members are designed to relay information from each sensor element in the unit in unprocessed or processed form to receiving members located outside the unit. Energy emitting members within the unit ensure energy supply to the sensor elements and the circuits belong thereto. When using optical emitting elements, these are included in an arrangement which supplements or alternatively substantially reduces the influence of vibrations in the unit on the sensing or analyzing result.

  • Patent number: 5343898
Abstract: A thread feeding system including a thread regulator having a fixed housing, a hollow rotatable shaft extending through the fixed housing, a rotatable winding section secured to the rotatable shaft, an angled thread duct extending through the thread regulator, an inlet positioned at an upstream end of the duct, and ejectors positioned along the duct portions. The ejectors supply a working medium from a pressurized working medium source to the duct to facilitate threading of a thread through the thread duct. The inlet receives a free end of the thread from a thread spool assembly positioned upstream from the thread regulator. The feeding system also includes an arrangement for controlling the ejectors so that the ejectors generate a pressure proximate to the inlet to develop a flow of the working medium into the inlet, and an arrangement for feeding the thread through the thread regulator in a pulsating manner to insure that the free end of the thread passes unobstructed through the thread duct.

  • Patent number: 5343899
Abstract: An easily movable output brake system forms part of or cooperates with a yarn feeder (13) comprising a spatially fixed body supporting a yarn store, from which body a yarn (11) can be drawn off even at advanced speed through an output channel (10). The system comprises a first member (9) which is arranged in a bearing and which, in the functional operation of the system, by means of a surface clamps the yarn being drawn off against a counterstay member (15). The members (9, 15) are designed to effect a yarn-cleaning function dependent on the yarn rotation upon drawing-off, with simultaneous prevention of considerable accumulation of lint, particles etc., in respect of the members. The mobility of the system is obtained by the selection of the components in question.
