  • Publication number: 20070076923
Abstract: A press-trigger fingerprint sensor module is disclosed, comprising two embedded switches, a sensor panel and a fingerprint recognition processor. When the user puts the finger in predetermined position over the sensor panel, the first switch is activated. The first switch sends out a high signal to have power connected to the fingerprint sensor. Without changing the position of the finger, the pressure being exerted perpendicular to the panel surface is transferred to the second switch, which then senses the presence of the finger and captures an image. The fingerprint recognition is performed subsequently. This sensor switch mechanism enables the system to obtain fast and high resolution images for fingerprint recognition. The smaller size of the fingerprint sensor not only reduces the power demands, but also breaks through the size barrier for encouraging more applications on mobile device.

  • Publication number: 20030097826
Abstract: The present invention provides a sealing device and method for an ink cartridge. First, the ink cartridge and a sealing film are placed in an airtight chamber isolated to the atmosphere. Second, a decompression mechanism is used to draw the air off the airtight chamber until the air pressure in the airtight chamber is reduced to a pre-determined pressure. Finally, a sealing mechanism is used to seal the sealing film onto the ink cartridge.

  • Publication number: 20020075367
Abstract: The ink cartridge comprises a container formed with an inner space and a port enveloped by an annular flange, a sealing mechanism used to fit in the annular flange, and an ink supply needle used to connect the inner space and output the ink. Pluralities of capillary portions are formed on the inner sidewall of the port so as to keep the filter with ink. A positioning hole indented from one end of the sealing mechanism is used to align the ink supply needle, and a recess is provided at another end of the sealing mechanism so as to connect the inner space of the container. When the sealing mechanism has been fully inserted with the ink supply needle, the sealing mechanism clamps the ink supply needle and the ink received in the container can be smoothly transmitted via the ink supply needle. When the ink cartridge is pulled out of the ink supply needle, the piercing hole of sealing mechanism is rapidly converged and sealed the port, and then the stored ink can be kept in the container with no leakage.

  • Patent number: 5494222
Abstract: A faucet spout including a sleeve member having a lower water exit, a core member having a closed end, a filtering screen, a resilient adapter fitted onto a faucet and a cap member. The core member is disposed in the sleeve member with the closed end facing the water exit of the sleeve member. The filtering screen is disposed in an inner insert groove of the sleeve member above the core member. The resilient adapter is disposed on an inner step section of the sleeve member. The cap member is screwed on an upper end of the sleeve member to associate the resilient adapter with the sleeve member. When the faucet is opened, the water flowing into the sleeve member is more than the water flowing out of the sleeve member so that the water accumulates therein and creates turbulence and back pressure, making the resilient adapter more firmly engage with the faucet without easily detaching therefrom. The water under pressure will be injected from the water exit of the sleeve member in fog pattern.

  • Patent number: 5186630
Abstract: The invention described herein is a mechanical device that appearing uncrowded with lines, numbers, and other markings, depicts the sun's daily path and gives sunlight information, for any interested latitude, date, and time.A major dial is rotated on a base according to the latitude; a sun-path slider is slid on the major dial according to the date. Then the device depicts a two-dimensional, elevation view of the sun's daily path, as a straight line, through all or some of these five zones in the sky: direct sunlight; civil, nautical, and astronomical twilights; and night. The depicted sun's daily path gives the following sunlight information: the directions and times of sunrise and sunset; the times of the beginnings and endings of the twilights. On the depicted sun's daily path, the sun's position, indicated by a sun-position slider according to the time, gives solar energy quantities and the sun's angular height on the base and the sun's direction on a minor dial.
