  • Publication number: 20150075890
Abstract: An arrangement for a motor vehicle having an electric or hybrid engine includes a power supply battery and reinforcing elements to protect the battery from external stresses applied to the vehicle in a longitudinal and/or transverse direction of the vehicle, in particular in the event of an impact. The reinforcing elements are separate from the battery and separate from an enclosure of the battery in particular. The battery is attached to the reinforcing elements. First structural elements of the chassis of the vehicle are sandwiched and clamped between the battery and the reinforcing elements.

  • Publication number: 20140372876
Abstract: Selective content presentation for the purpose of self-imposed censoring of content is implemented on an electronic device. The selective content presentation involves acquiring a content suppression preference for suppressing content presentation at an electronic device. Subsequently, a content portion and a content selection tag for the content portion are also received at the electronic device. When the electronic device determines based on the content selection tag that a part of content portion is designated for suppression by the content suppression preference, the part of the content portion is obstructed by the electronic device to form a modified content portion. The modified content portion is further presented to a user via the electronic device.

  • Patent number: 8909740
Abstract: Systems and methods enable users to exchange content, such as chat text, with other users that are consuming like video media. In one implementation, several users collectively group together to form a video session. The video media played during the video session may be selected by a vote of the users. The users in the video session each consume the same video media, and the video media is played on individual user computer devices in a synchronized manner. The users send chat text to one another over a network using a computer user interface. The chat text is superimposed over the synchronized video running on the individual user computer devices.

  • Patent number: 8354261
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to ?-class carbonic anhydrase polypeptides having improved properties including increased thermostability and/or stability in the presence of amine compounds, ammonia, or carbonate ion. The present disclosure also provides formulations and uses of the polypeptides for accelerating the absorption of carbon dioxide from a gas stream into a solution as well as for the release of the absorbed carbon dioxide for further treatment and/or sequestering. Also provided are polynucleotides encoding the carbonic anhydrase polypeptides and host cells capable of expressing them.

  • Publication number: 20050150372
Abstract: A thrust device, in particular for a roller cam mechanism in a steering system, includes a first mechanism member which is held on a frame in engagement with a second mechanism member. The thrust device comprises a pressure piece which is mounted on the frame so as to be displaceable along an axis and is acted on by a spring element for pressing the first and second mechanism members against one another. In order to construct the thrust device for compensating for wear and thermal expansion of the engagement of the mechanism members and to configure it to be inexpensive and quiet during operation, there is provision for the spring element to be formed from rolling bodies which are spring loaded approximately transversely with respect to the axis of the pressure piece, the rolling bodies being supported on oblique surfaces between the pressure piece and a frame part which is configured as a setting screw or cover. The pressure piece can additionally be spring loaded axially by a compression spring.
