  • Publication number: 20180117719
Abstract: A shaft balancing machine for fastening a balancing weight to a shaft has a pincer-like device which includes an upper and a lower pincer unit, wherein each pincer unit is in the form of a two-armed lever. The lever is mounted, so as to be rotatable about a lever center of rotation, on a main body. Each pincer unit has, on a first lever end, a receiving part with at least one receptacle for a balancing weight or a shaft. The levers are connected to one another, at the second lever ends thereof situated opposite the receptacles, by way of a stroke-imparting cylinder. In order that the receptacles can be brought into radial contact with the shaft by way of a stroke of the stroke-imparting cylinder, in each case one guide bar is articulated on the receiving part of each pincer unit and on the main body.

  • Patent number: 9714881
Abstract: In order to determine the machining axis of a rotatable workpiece blank, a reference workpiece, which has bearing surfaces concentric to its imbalance reference axis, and subsequently a workpiece blank are received in a measurement device, and as yet unmachined surface regions of the reference workpiece and of the workpiece blank are measured by a sensor device, and the measured position data are stored by a computer as a reference partial surface and a blank partial surface in a data storage device. The computer calculates deviations between the blank partial surface and the reference partial surface and, from these, an imbalance effect which is expressed by the position of the main axis of inertia of a given workpiece. The machining axis is calculated by adding an offset to the position of the main axis of inertia, which offset has been empirically determined with the aid of the actual imbalances of previously produced workpieces measured relative to the machining axis.

  • Patent number: 9494479
Abstract: A drive shaft balancing machine for dynamic balancing of drive shafts includes two pedestals. Each pedestal includes a spring-mounted upper part receiving a rotary spindle, a support receiving an end of a drive shaft to be balanced and a first vibration sensor detecting upper part vibrations resulting from an unbalance of the drive shaft and further involved forces in at least a first degree of freedom of motion normal to the spindle axis. On the upper part of at least one pedestal a second vibration sensor is mounted which detects the vibrations of the upper part in at least a second degree of freedom of motion. An evaluating circuit analyzes and links the vibration signals of the first and the second vibration sensors so that pitch vibration excitations of the upper part not caused by the unbalance of the drive shaft do not enter the drive shaft unbalance value computed.

  • Patent number: 9172290
Abstract: To correct an unbalance of rotors, a method and a device are proposed by means of which a corrective weight (15) is adapted to be welded to a rotor (2) by means of an electric welding device (14). The device comprises a robot (20) with a jointed arm (21) mounting the electric welding device (14). Arranged within reach of the jointed arm (21) is an unbalance measuring station (1) for measuring the amount of unbalance of the rotor (2) with an electronic computer which computes a corrective weight (15) to be attached to the rotor (2) for unbalance correction and transmits control data to a control device (23) of the robot (20).
