  • Patent number: 9847946
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided in which network traffic is separated based on application, query, or other criteria. A first application is stored in a first control group in a resource isolation environment, the first control group being associated with a first policy. A second application is stored in a second control group in the resource isolation environment, the second control group being associated with a second policy. Upon receiving a request for content through one of the first application and the second application, it is determined which control group is associated with the request. Traffic is managed in connection with the request according to the policy associated with the determined control group.

  • Patent number: 8594823
Abstract: A system and method of matching multiple scanners using design and defect data are described. A golden wafer is processed using a golden tool. A second wafer is processed using a second tool. Both tools provide focus/exposure modulation. Wafer-level spatial signatures of critical structures for both wafers can be compared to evaluate the behavior of the scanners. Critical structures can be identified by binning defects on the golden wafer having similar patterns. In one embodiment, the signatures must match within a certain percentage or the second tool is characterized as a “no match”. Reticles can be compared in a similar manner, wherein the golden and second wafers are processed using a golden reticle and a second reticle, respectively.

  • Patent number: 8463600
Abstract: A system and method for automatically adjusting floor controls based on conversational characteristics is provided. Audio streams are received, which each originate from an audio source. Floor controls for a current configuration including at least a portion of the audio streams are maintained. Conversational characteristics shared by two or more of the audio sources are determined. Possible configurations for the audio streams are identified based on the conversational characteristics. An analysis of the current configuration and the possible configurations is performed. A change threshold comprising a minimum number of timeslices for at least one of the current configuration and one of the possible configurations is applied to the analysis. When the analysis satisfies the change threshold, the floor controls are automatically adjusted. The audio streams are mixed into one or more outputs based on the adjusted floor controls.

  • Patent number: 7574474
Abstract: At least one multimedia presentation is selected by a user of a first device, accessed from a storage source, and presented to the user. Simultaneously, information is transmitted to at least a second device to cause the selected multimedia presentation to be presented by the at least second device without the at least second device receiving input from a second user. Continuous media streams from the first user may be captured and transmitted to the second device. The presenting of the multimedia presentation on the first device is coordinated with the presenting of the multimedia presentation on the second device. The presenting of the captured media streams on the second device is coordinated with the capturing of those streams and the presenting of the multimedia presentation on the second device. Users may individually control the multimedia presentations and the captured media streams.

  • Patent number: 7551811
Abstract: An optical device includes an optical waveguide, an optical element, and a resin layer disposed between the optical waveguide and the optical element. The resin layer is formed of a photocurable material alone or in combination with a thermosetting material and includes an optical interconnect for optically connecting the optical waveguide and the optical element. The optical interconnect has a higher refractive index than a region of the resin layer around the optical interconnect. A method for producing the optical device includes providing the photocurable material between the optical waveguide and the optical element, partially irradiating the photocurable material with light to form the optical interconnect, and secondarily irradiating the overall photocurable material with light to cure the overall resin layer.

  • Patent number: 7391389
Abstract: According to the present invention, drive voltage pulses are applied between a pair of electrodes by driving a first power source having a specific voltage from a state in which the electrodes are maintained at the potential of a reference power source that is different from the potential of the ground power source, and then returning it to the reference power source. As a result, the gas discharge current or capacitance charging and discharging current accompanying the application of the drive voltage pulses is prevented from flowing to the first power source line. The above-mentioned gas discharge current or capacitance charging and discharging current resulting from the application of the drive voltage pulses flows to the first power source or the reference power source electrically separated from the ground power source, and does not flow to the ground power source line, so no noise is generated on the first power source.
