    Abstract: There is provided a method of evaluating a clamping portion of an electric wire and a terminal, which can determine whether a clamping quality is good, or not, through simple test, and can easily test all of the clamping portions. The method of evaluating the clamping portion of an electric wire (W) and a terminal (10) includes measuring a length (L1) of the terminal (10) after clamping to detect an expansion of the terminal (10) after clamping to a length (L0) of the terminal (10) before clamping, determining that the clamping quality is “good” when the expansion falls within an allowable range between a given lower limit and a given upper limit, and determining that the clamping quality is “no good” when the expansion falls outside the allowable range.

The conductor press-fitting part is press-fitted to the conductors of the aluminum wire and the copper wire in a state that the conductor of the aluminum wire is disposed on the upper face of the bottom plate, and the conductor of the copper wire is disposed on the conductor of the aluminum wire.

    Abstract: Inwardly-directed projecting portions (2, 3) are formed in a bent manner respectively at distal ends of a pair of clamping piece portions (4, 5) which are continuous with each other, and form a wire connection portion (7) of a terminal (1). A conductor portion (9) of a wire (8) is located on the inner sides of the pair of clamping piece portions (4, 5), and the pair of clamping piece portions are pressed over an entire periphery into a circular shape, and are extended in a peripheral direction, thereby causing projecting extension portions (2?, 3?), including the projecting portions (2, 3), to bite into the conductor portion. Before the pressing operation, the pair of clamping piece portions (4, 5) may be provisionally pressed to be curved, thereby causing distal ends of the projecting portions (2, 3) to bite slightly into an outer peripheral surface of the conductor portion (9).

    Abstract: A steam turbine plant includes an extraction system and a control system for controlling the steam extraction. The extraction system includes an extraction steam flowmeter and a stop valve. The control system sets a warning flow and an extracted steam stop flow for the extracted steam. When the extracted steam flow reaches the warning flow, a warning is issued and after a lapse of a predetermined time period, the stop valve is opened to restrict the extracted steam flow. When the extracted steam flow reaches the extracted steam stop flow, the stop valve is closed to stop steam extraction. A steam turbine plant can thus exercise extraction control to stably supply extracted steam while avoiding turbine trip, even if not equipped with a high-performance and expensive valve device such as an extraction steam control valve.
