Patent number: 7475169Abstract: There is a cache memory, which has a cache area allocated to each communication port of an external storage subsystem. When data conforming to an I/O command received from a host is in an external LDEV, and when there is no cache hit in this cache area, an I/O command is issued to this external storage subsystem, and then the result of I/O processing is sent to the host. A storage control system measures response time by issuing a dummy I/O command to each communication port. The larger cache capacity is allocated to a communication port with the larger measured value. As a result of this, there is an increased probability of a cache hit in a cache area corresponding to a communication port with a higher response time measured value.Type: GrantFiled: February 27, 2006Date of Patent: January 6, 2009Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Atsushi Yuhara, Kazunobu Ohashi, Masao Nakano

Patent number: 7406115Abstract: A spread spectrum radar performs a target detection process in a first mode. The target detection process includes performing a slide unit detection a plurality of times while sliding transmission code by predetermined number of chips. The slide unit detection includes transmitting the transmission code and performing a sliding-correlation calculation between the transmission code and a reception code. A method for evaluating the spread spectrum radar includes when the spread spectrum radar is changed to a second mode, which is different from the first mode, stopping the slide unit detection to be performed subsequently to the slide unit detection being performed at a time of changing to the second mode; and transferring a data group that indicates sliding correlation values obtained in the slide unit detection being performed at the time of changing to the second mode.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 2005Date of Patent: July 29, 2008Assignees: Fujitsu Ten Limited, Fujitsu LimitedInventors: Masao Nakano, Etsuo Kakishita

Patent number: 7397419Abstract: The present invention provides a radar apparatus, which can diagnose failure at low cost with high accuracy, and a failure diagnosis method thereof. An antenna serves as both a transmit antenna and a receive antenna. A transmit and receive select switch switches the transmission and reception of the antenna. A control unit measures a power value based on an output signal of a receive wave received by the antennas, and judges that the transmit and receive select switch fails when this power value exceeds a threshold.Type: GrantFiled: January 24, 2007Date of Patent: July 8, 2008Assignees: Fujitsu Ten Limited, Fujitsu LimitedInventors: Masao Nakano, Kenji Oka

Patent number: 7307879Abstract: On a channel region enclosed by a pair of diffusion layers 13A, 13B, a first insulating layer 15, a charge accumulative layer 17, and a second insulating layer 19 are stacked up in this order, and on the second insulating layer 19, two control gate layers 21A, 21B spaced across a gap G1 are disposed in the middle of the channel width direction. The charge accumulative layer 17 has discrete charge traps, and, accordingly, movement of charge in the layer is limited. In the charge accumulative layer 17, the charges injected depend on the writing voltage applied in control gate layers 21A, 21B and can be localized beneath the control gate layers 21A, 21B through which a writing voltage is applied. The presence or absence of charges can be controlled in every charge accumulative region beneath the control gate layers 21A, 21B, so that multi-value storage in the memory cell can be realized.Type: GrantFiled: November 29, 2005Date of Patent: December 11, 2007Assignee: Spansion LLCInventors: Atsushi Yokoi, Masao Nakano

Patent number: 7301496Abstract: In an FM-CW radar apparatus which determines the azimuth to a target by a phase monopulse technique, an abnormal value resulting from the presence of multiple targets is detected. Three receiving antennas are arranged at spacings of 5?/4 and 6?/4, respectively, and it is determined whether the difference between the azimuth obtained from the combination of the receiving antennas spaced 5?/4 apart and the azimuth obtained from the combination of the receiving antennas spaced 6?/4 apart is smaller than a predetermined value or not; when the condition has been satisfied n times in succession, it is determined that the detected value is normal. On the other hand, if the condition has not been satisfied n times in succession, or if the difference is not smaller than the predetermined value, it is determined that the detected value is an abnormal value resulting from the presence of multiple targets.Type: GrantFiled: July 27, 2005Date of Patent: November 27, 2007Assignees: Fujitsu Ten Limited, Fujitsu LimitedInventors: Kanako Honda, Masao Nakano

Publication number: 20070171122Abstract: A radar apparatus having a interference detection unit which computes an average value of received power from received signals corresponding to receiving waves received by the receiving antennas, and determines that interference has occurred when the difference between this average value and the average value of the previously computed received power is a threshold value or more. Moreover, in other interference detection method, the interference detection unit determines that interference has occurred when an average value of received power corresponding to a large distance is a threshold value or more. Furthermore, in other method, the interference detection unit determines that interference has occurred when a received power value is detected as a threshold value or more when a transmission wave is not transmitted from the transmission antenna.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 25, 2007Publication date: July 26, 2007Applicants: FUJITSU TEN LIMITED, FUJITSU LIMITEDInventors: Masao Nakano, Kouichi Miyagawa, Kanako Honda, Yasuhiro Sekiguchi
