  • Publication number: 20020092581
Abstract: The fueling device includes a casing main body with an inlet opening. The casing main body is mountable in the fuel passage of the fuel filler pipe. A cap main body for opening and closing the inlet opening is engageable with the casing main body. A shutter is disposed in the fuel passage on the fuel tank side and is urged closed by a biasing member. A seal ring is mounted on the shutter, which is seated on a seat surface of the casing main body so as to seal the interior of the fuel tank in an air-tight manner against the outside by compression of the seal ring between the shutter and the seat surface. Engagement catches that fasten the cap main body to the casing main body operate to connect the cap main body and the shutter in such a manner that rotational force of the cap main body is converted into force in the direction in which the seal component is pressed to the seat surface to compress the sealing ring therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20020063226
Abstract: The invention concerns a network system for radiographing radiation images. The network system includes a plurality of radiation-image reading apparatus to read the radiation images stored in radiation-image storing sheets, so as to generate image data sets each of which corresponds to each of the radiation images, and a plurality of controllers to register discrimination information sets each of which corresponds to each of the radiation-image storing sheets. Each of the controllers can display a radiation image for confirmation, when it receives an image data set corresponding to the radiation image. A radiation-image reading apparatus reads a discrimination information set recorded on a radiation-image storing sheet loaded into the radiation-image reading apparatus.

Abstract: Disclosed is a valve being attached to a fuel tank, the valve permitting a vaporized fuel to flow out and inhibiting a liquid fuel from flowing out. The valve includes a cover and a case. For example, the cover is bonded to an upper portion of a fuel tank, is independent of the fuel tank, and includes a connecting surface to be connected to the fuel tank and a flow-out passage in which a vaporized fuel flows out. The connecting surface has a connector portion formed of a resin exhibiting a good bondability to the fuel tank. The case is screwed to the cover, and includes an evaporator opening and a floating valve. The evaporator opening communicates with the flow-out passage. The floating valve opens or closes the evaporator opening.

  • Publication number: 20020029192
Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment of the invention, accounting system terminals of companies having mutual transactions and a bond service handling server at a bond company are interconnected via a network. A company which intends to enter transactions opens, beforehand, a securities deposit account at the bond company by buying investment trust or the like. A company having trade accounts receivable or payable connects its accounting system terminal to the bond service handling server via the network, and requests the server to settle transactions utilizing the securities deposit account. In settling the trade accounts receivable and payable, the requested securities service handling server performs the fund transfer through sale and purchase of bonds, such as investment trust possessed by respective companies, from the proper deposit account, thus, increasing and reducing the balance of the respective securities deposit accounts.

  • Publication number: 20020029191
Abstract: Information of credit cards from a plurality of card companies is previously stored in an IC card, and information of a member who possesses the IC card having a plurality of credit card functions is previously registered in a card company processor. When the IC card is used in a member shop, a terminal in the member shop identifies that the IC card has a plurality of credit card functions, and when carrying out the transaction between a customer and the member shop, establishes the connection to the card company processor. The card company processor establishes the communication with a card company processor specified by the customer. Accordingly, a plurality of credit card functions are provided in one IC card with a plurality of account numbers corresponding thereto.

  • Publication number: 20020017524
Abstract: A fuel cap (10) closes the fuel supply inlet (FNb) of a filler neck (FN) at a narrow operating angle (about 90°), improving the sealing properties of a gasket (GS). The fuel cap (10) has a cap engagement element (20a), which is brought into engagement with the opening engagement element (FNc) of the filler neck (FN), and seals the gap around the filler neck (FN) by means of the gasket (GS). The opening engagement element (FNc) is formed in an inclined state at a predetermined angle relative to the direction orthogonal to the axial direction for closing the cap. The cap engagement element (20a) has a guide surface (20b). This surface is aligned and brought into engagement with the opening engagement element (FNc) by the rotation of the fuel cap (10) in the closing direction while this element is inserted into the filler neck (FN).

  • Patent number: 6334272
Abstract: The invention concerns a fishing rod in which a fishline is passed through the inside thereof. In the fishing rod, one of front and rear rod pipes to be connected together is provided with an enlarged diameter portion for receiving an outer periphery of the other rod pipe. Such enlarged diameter portion reduces a difference between the inside diameters of the front and rear rod pipes, to thereby eliminate the possibility that the fishline can be abutted against the end portion of the rod pipes. Thus, the frictional resistance of the fishline can be decreased, so that the fishline can be smoothly drawn into and out of the rod pipes.

  • Publication number: 20010054829
Abstract: In a cap device, a long, flexible coupling member is coupled at one end to a cap for opening and closing an inlet, and it is slidably mounted at the other end to a guide member located near the inlet. A rotary ring is rotatably mounted around the cap, and the coupling member is coupled to a part of the rotary ring at one end thereof. Slanted blocks for removing foreign materials are provided on a portion of the rotary ring which slides with respect to the circumferential outer surface of the cap. A slide support member formed another end of the coupling member is guided by a guide member disposed on the back side of the oil filler lid. The guide member guides the slide support member in such a direction that the slide support member slides apart from a hinge.

  • Patent number: 6308852
Abstract: A fuel cap is set on a tank opening and includes a casing main body, a cover, and a torque mechanism. The torque mechanism includes a cover engagement projection disposed on the cover, a torque plate having a plate engagement element, and a spring. When the cover is rotated in a closing direction of the tank opening, the cover engagement projection is released from the plate engagement element under a certain rotational torque to provide the user with the feeling of a click. When the cover is rotated in an opening direction of the tank opening, on the other hand, the cover engagement projection is released from the plate engagement element under a smaller rotational torque. This arrangement enables the spring to accumulate the pressing force and release the accumulated pressing force. The release of the accumulated pressing force causes the positional relationship between the cover and the casing main body to an initial state.

  • Patent number: 6296014
Abstract: A check valve attached to an inner wall of a main body of a fuel tank ensures a sufficient seal of the main body from outside, without increasing the required number of parts. The check valve communicates with a fuel conduit of a fuel inlet pipe and functions to prevent liquid fuel and fuel vapor in the main body from flowing through the fuel inlet pipe and being released to the outside. The check valve is opened by a flow of fuel in the fuel inlet pipe and allows the flow of fuel to be introduced into the main body. The check valve includes a casing with a fuel outlet, a valve disc, and a fixation plate. The valve disc is movable between an open position and a closed position to open and close the fuel outlet of the casing. The fixation plate has one end inserted in an end of the casing and the other end welded to the main body. This arrangement enables the main body to be securely sealed from the outside.

  • Patent number: 6286539
Abstract: A fuel cutoff valve is mounted on an upper wall of a fuel tank to open and close a connection conduit, so as to connect and disconnect the fuel tank with and from outside. The fuel cutoff valve of the present invention includes a casing, a cup-shaped float, a bottom plate, and a cover. Both the cover and the casing swell in the liquid fuel. The cover is made of a first resin material, which has the greater fuel swelling property than a second resin material that is applied for the casing. The cover is accordingly expanded to a greater degree than the casing. A holder unit disposed on the casing increases the supporting force against a support member of the cover with the swell of the cover. The casing is thus securely held by the cover via the holder unit and is not movable against the cover under the swelling condition of the cover.
