  • Publication number: 20240078577
Abstract: Merchants provide incentives for customer transactions on accounts issued to them by issuers. Incentives include a merchant making a donation to entities with whom the merchants and/or the consumers have an affinity such as residence in the community. Each merchant can define the donation to be percentage of the transaction amount. Cryptographically secure chains are provided for uniquely labeling each such transaction and each such donation by way of incorporating role-based digital wallets and multiple synchronized transactional blockchains. Where the donations are used to purchase an Internet-of-Things (IOT) enabled system, real and/or near-real time usage information can be received and transmitted to the logical addresses of the customers and or the merchants so as to confirm efficacy of the donations.

  • Patent number: 11893596
Abstract: An open loop cashless payment system incents a consumer account holder to transact in a physical store with a merchant who agrees to make an auditable donation to a charity when the transaction is conducted on an account issued to the consumer account holder. The consumer account holder may direct the donation to a specific charity within a predetermined geographically determined community where the transaction was physically conducted. The consumer account holder can register an obligation to make a donation matching that of the merchant, where the consumer account holder's donation is initially paid by the consumer account's issuer for reimbursement by the consumer account holder to the issuer after the consumer account holder receives their account statement. The merchant's acquirer, the issuer, and a transaction handler for the issuer and acquirer may also make donations as directed by the consumer account holder.

  • Publication number: 20230368252
Abstract: An issuer bank loads varying sponsor provided stored value amounts to inactive Virtual Payment Cards (VPCs), where the sponsor authorizes merchants and charities to receive merchant-defined donations incident to authorized transactions on the VPCs. The sponsor gifts each inactive VPC to a respective user of web access device by way of data corresponding to the inactive VPC. Each web access device transmits activation data to the issuer bank to active the inactive VPC. Each activated VPC is used to conduct an online transaction with a merchant. The merchant's acquirer bank sends an authorization for delivery to the issuer bank to validate the transaction amount and the merchant. If the issuer bank sends an authorization response to the acquirer bank indicating that the transaction is authorized, the merchant tenders goods and/or services for the transaction, and the merchant makes a merchant-defined donation to the one or more of the charities.

  • Patent number: 11783367
Abstract: Customers receive an incentive with use of an installed cellphone app to image an AR-bearing ad. Matches between data from the customer's accounts for each merchant are compared to the data in association with the customer's logical identifier for their cellphone, and particularly with each incidence of a rendering on their display screen of an AR view of a product advertisement containing the AR-triggering symbol to initiate the corresponding AR enhanced view of the ad. In conjunction with chronological time stamping of occurrences, a likelihood is derived that the customer's viewing of the AR enhanced product advertisement influenced the potential customer's subsequent purchase of the corresponding advertised product as evidenced within the potential customer's rich transactional data from the customer's debit and/or credit accounts. The certainty of each match is determined to further initiate the merchant's incentive to the customer which may be the merchant's donation to a community program.

  • Patent number: 11651384
Abstract: After a first transaction but before any subsequent transaction, a merchant communicates an incentive containing a URL to a customer to make a donation to a charity in exchange for a future transaction. The customer uses the URL to accesses and use the incentive. Data may be collected about all customers, either expressly, or from offline or online transactions between the customers and the merchants, and the data may be stored in a data storage area. All data in the data storage area may be utilized by logic tool, which may provide information, such as details of consumer behavior and analytic reporting. Matches between transactions between merchants and customers, and corresponding online activities of the customers that pertain to the merchants may be identified and used to determine the accuracy of a level of certainty of each such match to assess the efficacy of the incentive.

  • Publication number: 20230005027
Abstract: Potential impending disaster information is received for a potential impending disaster including an event impact value for an extent of the potential impending disaster, a response value for a relief effort for the potential impending disaster, and a donation impact value for effectiveness of the response value. A detection is made, using an artificial intelligence engine, of the response value, of the donation impact value, and of at least one redirection trigger from the potential impending disaster information. Upon the detection of the at least one redirection trigger, a redirection mode is configured. Data is received for a transaction between a customer and a merchant. A determination is made from information from the transaction of a donation amount and a location associated with the transaction.

  • Publication number: 20220414709
Abstract: Implementations generate links between local merchants and community programs. Merchants provide incentives to customers in relation to community programs. Implementations also include online and offline customer transactions with merchants that make use of incentives. Implementation pertain to customers that view a broadcast of content that is interleaved with a merchant's advertisement and analytic reporting. Matches between transactions with a merchant and a customer that view a broadcast of content that is interleaved with the merchant's advertisement may be identified by the system, and a level of certainty that the match is accurate may be determined. These implementations can be operated by an alliance of entities that cooperate in order to facilitate, and benefit from, transactions between customers and merchants, where the customer is incented to conduct the transaction with the merchant by the merchant's agreement to make a donation to an entity of the customer's choice.

  • Publication number: 20220198528
Abstract: A donor incentivizes a payer to make a real time payment to a payee, as facilitated by operation of one RTPS Technology, by terms set by the donor to make an auditable donation to an affinity entity designated by the payer. To incent such real time payments within a predetermined geographic location, the donor's terms may limit its donation by a derivation of navigation time between the payer and payee, and/or by date and time of the real time payment from the payer to the payee. The payer can direct the donation by the donor to one of more affinity entities within the payer's own geographic community, and/or within a community where the real time payment was physically conducted. An payer can also make a donation to the affinity entity at the time of real time payment by the payer where the donation by the payer is paid by a payer financial institution that issued a payer account of the payer.
