    Abstract: In a method for adapting a mobile network, a terminal is connected to a first access node of the mobile network via a first connection and to a second access node via a second connection. The first access node controls a data transmission for the terminal and the second access node assists in the data transmission for the terminal. The method comprises determining whether a quality of at least one of the first connection and the second connection is degraded, acquiring quality degradation information about the degradation of the quality of at least one of the first connection and the second connection based on the step of determining, and adapting the mobile network based on the step of acquiring.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein related simultaneous registration of wireless communication device having multiple Subscriber Identity Modules (SIMs) with two or more networks. In one embodiment, a method performed by a wireless communication device having multiple SIMs comprises registering with a first network associated with a first SIM and registering with a second network associated with a second SIM such that the wireless communication device is simultaneously registered with both the first network and the second network. The method further comprises providing, to a network node associated with the first network, capability information for the wireless communication device that indicates less than full capabilities of the wireless communication device. In this manner, the wireless communication device ensures that it will have sufficient resources to maintain simultaneous connections to both the first and second network.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein that enable a wireless communication device (WCD) and/or a network node to perform a recovery action(s) when a failure occurs during reception, at the WCD, of a segmented Radio Resource Control (RRC) message. Embodiments of a method performed by a WCD are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method performed by a WCD comprises receiving one or more segments of a segmented RRC message and determining that an error has occurred before a last segment of the segmented RRC message has been received. The method further comprises, upon determining that the error has occurred before the last segment of the segmented RRC message has been received, performing one or more recovery actions. In this manner, a situation where the WCD combines segments of a first RRC message with segments of a second RRC message is avoided and, hence, errors due to such combining are avoided.

The area information indicates an area for which the message is relevant. The network node determines (306) how many SIBs are needed for transmitting the area information and segments (308) the message into a plurality of segments, based on how many SIBs are needed for transmitting the area information. The network node transmits (310) the message and the area information via SIBs, such that a segment of the message is included in each SIB and such that each portion of the area information included in a SIB is accompanied by a segment of the message. A UE receives the SIBs and assembles the message and area information, displaying the message if it is relevant.

This is achieved by using at least one set of power classes defining at least two power classes of the wireless device. In one embodiment where the control system provides for global optimization, the controller receives trip information through a trip planning tool. The controller utilizes the trip information to generate a driving cycle and further incorporates this information into the optimization process performed by the controller to determine the optimal solution for the entire trip.

    Abstract: A method for indicating and operating multiple User Equipment (UEs) in a wireless device is provided.
