A mobile device having a processing structure; a transceiver communicating with a network using a communication protocol; and a computer-readable medium having instructions configures the processing structure to: receive a content object from an interactive device; perform recognition on the content object; determine a command code from the recognized content object; and modify another content object based at least in part on the command code.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and system for identifying templates or forms for interpreting data input thereto on an interactive device in communication with one or more mobile devices. The interactive device comprises template overlay, having an identifiable feature, is aligned with an interactive surface. The mobile device has a reader that reads the identifiable feature and produces a template identifier that is retrieved from a content server. Input into the template overlay is recognized and interpreted into labels or equations. Subsequent input is then automatically calculated using the equation.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and system for adapting communication between interactive input systems. A mobile device has a processing structure; a transceiver communicating with a network using a communication protocol; and a computer-readable medium comprising instructions to configure the processing structure. The mobile device is configured to retrieve a pairing uniform resource locator (URL) from an interactive device and convert the pairing URL into a network address. A connection is established to an interactive device located at the network address using the transceiver. The mobile device queries the interactive device for device information and authenticates with the interactive device. One or more content objects are retrieved from the interactive device. The mobile device optimizes the communication protocol through negotiation of a protocol level based in part on the device information.

Abstract: The disclosure provides compounds useful as insect repellents, compositions comprising such repellents, and methods of repelling an arthropod using such compounds and compositions. The disclosure further provides insect traps and method for identifying ligands and cognates for biological molecules.

A request to manipulate the view displayed on the one or more follower participant devices is received. The lead participant is identified. The follower participants are identified. In an example where a webpage comprises a managed container within which an advertisement is populated, view percentage functionality associated with the managed container may be invoked to obtain a stream of viewable percentages of the managed container to determine a viewable percentage of the advertisement. In an example where the webpage comprises an unmanaged container in which the advertisement is populated, a grid may be generated and evaluated to determine a viewable percentage of the advertisement. When the viewable percentage of the advertisement is above a percentage threshold for a duration threshold a viewable impression beacon is generated for the managed container based upon the viewable percentage. The viewable impression beacon may be indicative of viewability of the advertisement (e.g., an amount of the advertisement that may be visible to a user).

Abstract: A method of modifying an annotation input on an interactive display in an interactive input system is described. Reference pixel values in a region of interest of a reference frame are determined. The region of interest is associated with the annotation. The reference pixel values are stored in memory. It is determined whether current pixel values in the region of interest of a current frame differ from the reference pixel values. The annotation is faded if the current pixel values in the region of interest differ from the reference pixel values. A computing device configured to implement the method and a computer-readable medium having stored thereon instruction to implement the method are also described.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and system for managing profiles for use with touch systems. A user logs into a communal device using a pointer paired with a mobile device. The communal device is authenticated and retrieves the user's profile. The user profile is used to setup a workspace on the communal device. The workspace is granted access to the user's content on a content server. When the communal device has multiple users, each workspace may be shared or not depending on the user's requirements. Each pointer is individually identified to a particular user and workspace.

Abstract: A system and method for use in determining the start time of a pressure pulse created by a downhole explosive device detonated by a firing signal includes a downhole tool with a pressure pulse detector that detects the pressure pulse and generates an input signal in response thereto, and a circuit path configured to output a signaling pulse distinguishable from the firing signal. A surface unit receives and discriminates the signaling pulse from the firing signal, and outputs a start time signal in response to receiving the signaling pulse. Alternatively, the downhole tool includes a processor that measures and stores the time that the pressure pulse detector generates the input signal.
