  • Patent number: 10012023
Abstract: A rotatable downhole cutting tool configured for enhanced drive consistency in low power circumstances. The tool is equipped with a hydraulic axial drive actuator suitable for use in wireline deployment. The actuator itself includes a reciprocating piston with a ball screw that threadably interfaces a ball nut for dampening the axial drive imparted by the piston. As such, even though hydraulically driven at generally well under about 10 horsepower, bounce in the axial drive is substantially eliminated.

  • Patent number: 9912767
Abstract: Approaches, techniques, and mechanisms are disclosed for third-party tracking of user data. Instructions provided in association with a first document cause a client at which the first document is viewed to load a second document in a tracking document container associated with the first document. The second document belongs to a third-party domain that is different than a first domain to which the first document belongs. Instructions provided in association with the second document cause the client to retrieve a particular identifier from a local storage area for the third-party domain at the client. The instructions provided in association with the second document further cause the client to send a message to a server comprising the particular identifier.

  • Patent number: 9836136
Abstract: A stylus pen is disclosed that can be used as an input device to a digitizer associated with a computer screen on a computing device, such as a computer, mobile device, tablet, etc. The stylus pen can include a voltage boost circuit that generates a stylus output signal on an antenna output. The voltage boost circuit has a charging portion and a discharging portion. Both portions have transistors that are activated and deactivated through pulsed control signals. However, a pulse duration for each control signal is separately controllable through different RC-based circuits. Additionally, the voltage boost circuit provides power savings by draining the output voltage signal to a positive voltage rail, rather than ground.

  • Patent number: 9580685
Abstract: A non-immunogenic selection epitope may be generated by removing certain amino acid sequences of the protein. For example, a gene encoding a truncated human epidermal growth factor receptor polypeptide (EGFRt) that lacks the membrane distal EGF-binding domain and the cytoplasmic signaling tail, but retains an extracellular epitope recognized by an anti-EGFR antibody is provided. Cells may be genetically modified to express EGFRt and then purified without the immunoactivity that would accompany the use of full-length EGFR immunoactivity. Through flow cytometric analysis, EGFRt was successfully utilized as an in vivo tracking marker for genetically modified human T cell engraftment in mice. Furthermore, EGFRt was demonstrated to have cellular depletion potential through cetuximab mediated antibody dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) pathways.

  • Publication number: 20160364023
Abstract: A stylus pen that can be used as an input device to a digitizer associated with a computer screen on a computing device, such as a computer, mobile device, tablet, etc. The stylus pen can include an end cap that has multiple pressure thresholds for implementing different user-input commands. To detect the pressure being applied to the end cap, the cap is movable relative to a stylus pen body so as to move a plunger in proximity or contact with a mechanical switch. The mechanical switch is a single-action switch that is converted to a dual-action switch by using the electrical conductivity of the switch to detect an electrical coupling between a plunger and the switch. The electrical coupling can be in the form of a capacitive coupling or a direct electrical connection. Further pressure can be detected through actuation of the mechanical switch.

  • Publication number: 20160283460
Abstract: Approaches, techniques, and mechanisms are disclosed for automatically inserting supplemental items into documents. According to an embodiment, a first request is received, comprising document information that identifies a particular document. A target repeated structure type, to which a group of items in the particular document conform, is identified within the particular document. Based on the target repeated structure type, a template is generated. A new content item is generated by applying descriptive metadata that describes the new content item to the template. The new content item conforms to the target repeated structure type. The new content item is inserted in the particular document at an insertion point before or after a particular content item that conforms to the target repeated structure type.
