  • Publication number: 20090138845
Abstract: Embodiments are provided for displaying components for visually designing logical structures or macros. In one embodiment, a logical surface component is displayed which may include a design surface. The design surface may be utilized to display data which make up one or more macros. The design surface may be selected for receiving macro data. The received data, which represents a macro design, may then be displayed in the design surface on a display device. In another embodiment, controls for navigating within logical surface components utilized for designing macros may be displayed on a display device. A logical surface component which includes a hierarchical grouping of macro actions may be displayed. One more actions may be selected and an instruction may be received in a visual interface to move selected actions among the hierarchical grouping. In response to receiving the move instruction, the selected actions which were moved may be displayed.

  • Publication number: 20090086501
Abstract: An automotive headlamp bulb provides the two light or three filament sources in a single bulb. One source may be used to generate a standard headlamp beam, while the second source may be used to generate an augmenting side beam in response to a turning signal. A similar third filament may provide an augmenting beam to the opposite side, or farther to the same side. The single bulb eliminates the need for a second bulb, or a second reflector in an advanced headlamp system with turning light augmentation.

  • Publication number: 20090052200
Abstract: A vehicle light (10) that can be used, for example, in a headlamp assembly (25) for a headlight projection system for use with forward illumination, comprises a reflector (12) and a light source (14) operatively mounted with the reflector (12). Preferably, the light source (14) is a filamented, tungsten halogen lamp capsule providing visible radiation and IR radiation and the reflector (12) is elliptical. The headlamp assembly (25) is mounted in a housing (27). A lens (16), such as an aspheric projector lens, directs the visible and IR radiation emanating from the light source (14) toward a field (18) to be illuminated and a shutter (20), which provides the cutoff for the low beam, has a position (22) between the light source (14) and the lens (16). The shutter (20) is transparent to the IR radiation and opaque to the visible radiation and is moveable into and out of the position (22) between the light source (14) and the lens (16), for example, by actuation of a solenoid (23).

  • Patent number: 7406904
Abstract: A cutting assembly is provided that is adapted for use in combination with a container for dispensing a web of material. The dispensing container includes a plurality of adjoining sidewalls which define an external geometric profile. The cutting assembly includes a guide disposed in combination with a sidewall of the container and a cutter adapted for traversing within the elongate guide in a desired cutting direction. Furthermore, guide and bearing surfaces, formed on the guide and cutter, respectively, cooperate to permit sliding motion therebetween in the cutting direction and interlock to delimit displacement of the cutter relative to the guide in directions orthogonal to the cutting direction. A portion of the guide and cutter is disposed proximal to a corner of the container and recessed relative to its external geometric profile to facilitate container storage and display while additionally producing an aesthetically pleasing appearance.

  • Patent number: 7275839
Abstract: The multi-color light lamp has a base divided into a plurality of segments. The three segments are spaced at 120 degrees. More or less segments can be used. An LED is positioned in each segment, the LED in each segment emits a color distinct from the light emitted by the LEDs in the other segments. If the lamp is to be used for automotive purposes, the LED in a first segment emits red light as a taillight and a stop light, the LED in a second segment emits yellow light a turn signal lamp, and the LED in the third segment emits white light as a backup light. A light pipe is operatively associated with the LEDs in each segment for directing emitted light away from the base. The LEDs (preferably two per segment) are mounted upon a thermally efficient printed circuit board such as a flex-on aluminum board.
