    Abstract: A method of making a combination concrete panel wall, concrete window frame, and concrete sash glazing frame. The sill, lintel, and jambs of the window frame are fiber-reinforced concrete extrusions. The hardened frame is placed in a concrete panel molding frame to locate and define a window opening. The concrete panel wall grout is then poured and dovetail-type mortise and tenon joints are precast in the exterior faces of the window frame which abut the poured concrete wall panel plastic grout, to permanently mold and interlock the window frame to the panel wall. The sash members are fitted about a window pane which is located in interior grooves in the sash members and then glazed. Sealing means interconnects the sash to the window frame to provide a condensation-resistant, water-tight, air-tight, heat and fire-resistant concrete wall closure.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for shaping elongated bar-shaped bread dough pieces. In and by this method and apparatus a bread dough piece, namely, a bread dough sheet, a divided bread dough mass, or a preshaped bread dough roll, is subjected to a first rotation, thereby pressing and rolling it in a first gap defined by a conveyor and a pressing belt or a pressing board that faces it, while being conveyed downstream, so as to shape an elongated bar-shaped bread dough piece. This elongated bar-shaped bread dough piece is then fed into a second gap defined by an upper face that comprises a pressing belt or pressing board and a lower face that faces it and comprises a conveyor, a pressing belt or a pressing board, and is subjected to a second rotation that is in a direction reverse to that of the first rotation, thereby shaping a further elongated bar-shaped bread dough piece with a straight wound-dough end.

    Abstract: This apparatus comprises: (a) a housing; (b) a first microscope placed in said housing to observe optical fibers; (c) a first light source facing to said first microscope; (d) a second microscope placed in said housing to observe said optical fibers; (e) a second light source facing to said second microscope; (f) a third microscope placed in said housing to observe said optical fibers; and (g) a third light source facing to said third microscope. When the first light source is turned on, the first light emitted from the first light source irradiates the optical fibers. When the second light source is turned on, the second light emitted from the second light source irradiates the optical fibers when the first light source is turned on, enlarged images of the fibers are observed, and when the second light source is turned on, enlarged images of the fibers are observed with said second microscope. These fibers are observed from different directions without moving these microscopes.

    Abstract: A fluorescent material is disclosed which indludes substantially spherical particles each consisting of Y.sub.2 O.sub.3 and Eu.sub.2 O.sub.3 and having an average particle diameter of 90-210 nm and a narrow particle size distribution. The fluorescent material may be produced by heating an aqueous solution having a pH of 3 or less and containing a yttrium salt, a europium salt and urea at a temperature of at least 90.degree. C. to coprecipitate YOHCO.sub.3 and EuOHCO.sub.3 as particles having an average particle diameter of 110-270 nm. The resulting particles are then calcined at a temperature of at least 600.degree. C. to form spheres each consisting of Y.sub.2 O.sub.3 and Eu.sub.2 O.sub.3.

    Abstract: A high-density circuit module has a box shaped shielding case made from a plate blank which is bent to provide the shield case. A printed wiring board is placed on the bottom surface portion of the shielding case, and a plurality of electronic components are soldered to conductor lands of the printed wiring board. A plurality of externally connected leads are soldered to connection lands of the printed wiring board. A process for producing the high-density circuit module includes the steps of placing the printed wiring board on the blank, then soldering the electronic components and leads to the printed wiring board and then bending the blank to provide the shielding case. The plurality of externally connected leads are formed from a plurality of leads which are originally integrally connected to the bottom surface portion of the shielding case, by separating the plurality of leads form the bottom surface portion of the shielding case.

    Abstract: A turret tool post for a machine tool has a turret having a plurality of turret faces each equipped with a tool for machining, a turret shaft for rotating the turret, a cam follower provided on the turret shaft, a cam having a cam surface engaged with the cam follower to cause the cam follower to rotate, and an indexing motor for driving the cam to index the turret faces. A straight raceway portion is formed on the cam surface of the cam so that the cam follower is not driven to rotate through a predetermined angle. Also disclosed is an apparatus for controlling indexing of the turret tool post which has a turret controller for controlling the rotation of the indexing motor. The speed of the indexing motor is controlled in accordance with whether a door attached to a cover covering the turret and other elements is open or closed.

    Abstract: A method is provided for producing bread of a good quality from frozen dough. In this method dough is stretched while being subjected to vibrations so that the dough can be stretched without imparting pressure exceeding the yield point of its elasticity. Thus during the stretching step the gluten network of the dough is unharmed. Further, the dough is rested at least five minutes within a temperature range of 0.degree. C. to 16.degree. C., before it is stretched. Such a dough rested at such a cool condition can be readily stretched, and the stability of the stretched dough is improved over the prior art.

    Abstract: A curtain wall building panel having a metal frame secured to the reverse side of a concrete panel with flexible anchors. A 3-D braid is formed in such a manner that non-metallic fibers are braided in the three directions at a pitch of 5 mm or more and have a self-supporting characteristic. The braid is embedded in the concrete panel and the front ends of the flexible anchors are secured to cell spaces in the 3-D braid. The curtain wall exhibits excellent bending strength, can be easily manufactured and can be used for exterior finish of multistory buildings. A method of making the building panel is also disclosed.

The porous cordierite ceramics are produced by subjecting a starting solution containing an alkyl silicate, an aluminum salt and an magnesium salt optionally with other compounds in an organic or aqueous organic solvent to spray thermal decomposition to prepare the hollow microspherical cordierite glass powder, and then processing the cordierite glass powder to a shaped body after or before an optional heat treatment and firing the shaped body at a temperature below the melting point of cordierite. The porous cordierite ceramics are useful as a carrier for gas chromatography or various chemical reactions.
