  • Patent number: 4720720
Abstract: A motor-driven film winder for use with a camera includes an exposure inhibit signal generator for generating an exposure inhibit signal when the number of frames to be exposed which is set by an exposure setting unit coincides with the number of exposed frames counted by a counter. The motor-driven film winder also has an unexposed frame indicator for indicating the difference between the number of frames set by the exposure setting unit and the count of the counter as the number of remaining unexposed frames when a shutter release operation of the camera is interrupted before the count of the counter reaches the preset number of frames to be exposed, and an intermittent exposure canceling signal generator for issuing an intermittent exposure cancelling signal to an intermittent exposure signal generator when the preset number of frames to be exposed coincides with the counter of the counter.

  • Patent number: 4698317
Abstract: New type porous cordierite ceramics having a new characteristic interconnecting open cellular structure and a hollow microspherical cordierite glass powder with a shell devoid of any pores or provided with a few or an abundance of open pores which is used as a starting material for the porous cordierite ceramics. The porous cordierite ceramics are produced by subjecting a starting solution containing an alkyl silicate, an aluminum salt and an magnesium salt optionally with other compounds in an organic or aqueous organic solvent to spray thermal decomposition to prepare the hollow microspherical cordierite glass powder, and then processing the cordierite glass powder to a shaped body after or before an optional heat treatment and firing the shaped body at a temperature below the melting point of cordierite. The porous cordierite ceramics are useful as a carrier for gas chromatography or various chemical reactions.

  • Patent number: 4680487
Abstract: A input/output port for use in a device such as a central processing unit includes a common input/output terminal which serves as an input terminal when the port is set in a data input mode and as an output terminal when the port is set in a data output mode. The common terminal is connected to the junction between a pair of transistors connected in series between a high voltage source and ground. Also provided is a third transistor having a lower capability or power than the pair of first and second transistors and connected between the high voltage source and the common terminal. During data output mode, the pair of first and second transistors is turned on and off in a complementary fashion in accordance with data to be output. During data input mode, the pair of first and second transistors is maintained turned off and the third transistor is set either turned off or turned on.

  • Patent number: 4653885
Abstract: A motor-driven film winder for use with a camera having a film winding mechanism has a motor, a first system for transmitting rotative power from the motor to the film winding mechanism, a second system for transmitting rotative power from the motor to a mounting screw for threaded engagement in a tripod screw hole of the camera, and a switching control assembly for selectively operating the first or second system. The second system includes first and second selector gears angularly movable about the axis of a main gear and rotatable about their own axes in opposite directions. One of the first and second selector gears is selectively coupled, at a time, to the mounting screw by the switching control assembly.

  • Patent number: 4449769
Abstract: Two substrates carrying printed circuit patterns are coupled together back-to-back with an adhesive tape interposed therebetween. A plurality of holes are formed through the substrates, and apertures of small diameter are punched in the portions of the adhesive tape backing these holes. Electric components to be held to the substrate are then inserted through the holes punched in the adhesive tape and soldered firmly into portion by an automatic soldering apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4333285
Abstract: A building structure including a beam of steel or rod reinforced concrete which is sheathed in a U-shaped cross section steel shell, a concrete column which is encased in a steel tube, diagonal bracings and connecting members thereof. The topside of the U-shaped steel shell is open to allow concrete to be filled therethrough. Steel rods are placed in the shell and a steel panel connecting member secures the opposed sidewalls of the shell. Steel bars extend from a floor slab into the beam shell through the aforesaid open topside, thereby rendering the beam integral with the slab. Frame-like steel members for confining reinforcing bars and/or shear connectors are disposed in the inside of the beam shell. A steel sleeve is also provided in the beam shell for defining a space for disposition of equipment. In addition, an opening is provided in the bottom wall of the beam shell so as to allow steel rods to extend from the wall into the beam shell, thereby rendering the beam integral with the wall.
