  • Publication number: 20090097593
Abstract: In a demodulation device with a plurality of branches, the receiving quality of each branch and signal quality after composing signals from the plurality of branches is inspected. If the signal quality is good, the operation of a branch whose receiving quality of each branch is the worst is stopped. When activating a stopped branch, the synchronous detection information of an already operated branch is applied to a branch to be newly activated and time needed for a newly activated branch to become synchronous is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20090010370
Abstract: A digital broadcast demodulator receives a tuner signal output from a tuner and carries out demodulation processing on the tuner signal by using an internal clock signal that is synchronized with a reference signal. The digital broadcast demodulator has an internal clock-signal generator and an internal clock frequency controller. The internal clock-signal generator generates the internal clock signal, and the internal clock frequency controller controls a frequency of the internal clock signal in accordance with a reception channel.

  • Publication number: 20070288832
Abstract: A receiver that receives a digital signal transmitted on the basis of an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) method. This receiver comprises a demodulation unit for demodulating the digital signal, a demapping unit for demapping demodulated data output from the demodulation unit, a frequency deinterleave unit for executing a frequency deinterleaving process on data output from the demapping unit, a delay unit for delaying control information superposed on the digital signal by a prescribed time period, and a time deinterleave unit for executing, on the basis of the interleave length specified by the control information delayed by the delay unit, a time deinterleaving process on data on which the frequency deinterleaving process has been executed.

  • Publication number: 20070280364
Abstract: An OFDM receiver according to the present invention judges whether or not a delay amount (i.e., a first delay amount) of a transmission path detected from scattered pilot information existing in an OFDM signal of a frequency domain by referring to peak position information obtainable from OFDM signals of the preceding and following symbols, calculates another delay amount (i.e., a second delay amount) from the delay amount (i.e., the first delay amount) if the aforementioned delay amount is judged to be inappropriate, and set a position of a time window by using the calculated delay amount.

  • Publication number: 20070274406
Abstract: A carrier interpolation unit (a digital filter) performs interpolation processing of SP signal in the frequency domain. An IFFT circuit converts a frequency-domain signal into a time-domain signal. A delay profile generation unit generates a delay profile based on an output of the IFFT circuit. The filter control unit controls a pass band of the digital filter in accordance with the delay profile. An FFT window control unit controls a position of a window to extract a calculation range of FFT in accordance with the delay profile. When delay time of multipath is larger than the guard interval, and when the reception power of the interference wave is larger than a threshold, the pass band of the digital filter is minimized.

  • Publication number: 20070274405
Abstract: A tuner selects a channel in a designated frequency band. An FFT circuit converts a received signal in the selected channel into a plurality of carrier signals. A carrier shift detection circuit calculates the correlation between the phase information of each carrier signal and reference phase information prepared in advance. If the correlation is larger than a given threshold, it is determined that an OFDM signal is present in the search target channel. A TMCC extraction circuit analyzes the TMCC of the received signal and determines whether or not digital broadcasts of the search target channel can be received.

  • Patent number: 6648629
Abstract: The present invention intends to provides a piezoelectric ignition lighter capable of avoiding misuse by children but maintaining excellent operability for normal users without unreasonably increasing actuation load at the initial ignition operation. For this end, the piezoelectric ignition lighter has a valve mechanism, a nozzle 3 and a piezoelectric mechanism 4 at the top of a lighter body 1 and ignites by actuation of an actuation cap 6 integrally molded of polyacetal resin with torsion plates 7,7. The torsion plates 7,7 are separated from the upper end surface 1a of the lighter body 1 by a gap equal to about 60%˜90% of the actuation stroke in the non-actuated condition to provide a normal (light) actuation load at the initial actuation stage. After engagement of the torsion plates 7,7 with the upper end surface of the lighter body 1, resilient load of the torsion plates is added to normal load, thereby increasing the actuation load.
