  • Patent number: 6350753
Abstract: Nucleoside analogues containing a 1,3-dioxolane structure are suitable antiviral agents, particulary for the treatment of the HIV infections in mammals, especially humans. Examples of the nucleoside analogues include: cis-2-acetoxymethyl-4-(thymin-1′-yl)-1,3,-dioxolane, cis-2-hydroxymethyl-4-(thymin-1′-yl)-1,3-dioxolane, cis-2-benzoyloxymethyl-4-(cytosin-1′-yl)-1,3-dioxolane, and cis-2-hydroxymethyl-4-(cytosin-1′-yl)-1,3-dioxolane. These compounds can be in the form of their racemates or their separate enantiomers.

  • Patent number: 4780668
Abstract: A method and an electronic circuit for measuring very weak signals at high voltage. The electronic circuit consists of a first portion (I) constituted by at least one amplifier (2) which is DC-connected directly to a source of weak signals. This amplifier is followed by at least one current amplifier (5). A second portion of the circuit (II) then transfers the amplified current signal from high potential to the ground potential of measuring apparatus by a series of transistors (12 to 14) followed by an output amplifier (22). An optional third portion (III) may be provided to sample the signal by an analog gate (25) suitably controlled from an external frequency source. This makes it possible in spectrometry to perform fast and accurate measurements on very weak signals at high potential.

  • Patent number: 4374547
Abstract: An auxiliary locking device for a crank connector of the type including two tubular members interconnected by a shaft having an axis of rotation different from the axes of rotation of the two tubular members. The shaft being rotatably secured to one of the two tubular members, and capable of moving between a first rotatably secured position and a second rotatably disengaged position with respect to the other of said two tubular members for causing the other of the two tubular members to rotate about the axis of rotation of the shaft. The rotation about the axis of the shaft defines acute angles between the axes of rotation of the tubular members and the axis of rotation of the shaft at a point where all three axes intersect. An auxiliary locking means includes at least one retractable finger located in a housing in either one of the shaft and the tubular member disengageable from the shaft, and corresponding grooves located in the other of the shaft and tubular member disengageable from the shaft.

  • Patent number: 4286676
Abstract: This connector comprises two tubular members connected to each other, one of which can pivot about a rotation axis which forms an acute angle with the axis of the two members. This axis of rotation and the axes of the two members converge to the same point.Remote control means are operative to vary at will the relative angular position of the tubular members and means are adapted to lock said two members against relative rotation in a selected angular position.

  • Patent number: 4095189
Abstract: The amplifier comprises at least two amplifier units or transistors T.sub.1 and T.sub.2 of complementary types. The base of the first transistor T.sub.1 is connected to a control current supply line. The emitter of the transistor T.sub.1 is connected on the one hand to one end of the load impedance and on the other hand to the base of the second transistor T.sub.2. The collector of the transistor T.sub.1 is connected to a voltage supply of suitable polarity. The emitter of the transistor T.sub.2 is connected to the current supply line and the collector of said transistor is connected to another end of the load impedance.
