    Abstract: Delamination resistant glass containers with heat-tolerant coatings are disclosed. In one embodiment, a glass container may include a glass body having an interior surface, an exterior surface and a wall thickness extending from the exterior surface to the interior surface. At least the interior surface of the glass body is delamination resistant. The glass container may further include a heat-tolerant coating positioned on at least a portion of the exterior surface of the glass body. The heat-tolerant coating may be thermally stable at temperatures greater than or equal to 260° C. for 30 minutes.

A method for testing a ceramic core used for an investment casting includes: positioning the ceramic core within a mold for receiving a sacrificial material fluid to form a sacrificial material on at least a portion of the ceramic core, the ceramic core having a predefined layout; during casting of the sacrificial material fluid about the ceramic core using the mold, controlling a viscosity of the sacrificial material fluid to simulate an expected viscosity of a molten metal used during a subsequent investment casting using the ceramic core; and evaluating mechanical damage to at least one region of the ceramic core caused by the casting of the sacrificial material fluid.

In embodiments, a coated glass pharmaceutical package includes a glass container formed from one of a borosilicate glass composition that meets Type 1 criteria according to USP <660> or an alkali aluminosilicate glass having a Class HGA 1 hydrolytic resistance when tested according to the ISO 720-1985 testing standard. A lubricous coating may be positioned on at least a portion of the exterior surface of the glass container. The portion of the coated glass pharmaceutical package with the lubricous coating has a coefficient of friction that is at least 20% less than an uncoated glass pharmaceutical package. A horizontal compression strength of the portion of the coated glass pharmaceutical package with the lubricous coating may be at least 10% greater than an uncoated glass pharmaceutical package.

The alkali oxide may include Na2O in an amount greater than about 8 mol. %. A ratio of Y:X may be greater than 1 and the glass composition may be free of boron and compounds of boron. In some embodiments, the glass composition may also be free of phosphorous and compounds of phosphorous. Glass articles formed from the glass composition may have at least a class S3 acid resistance according to DIN 12116, at least a class A2 base resistance according to ISO 695, and a type HGA1 hydrolytic resistance according to ISO 720.

The photodetectors are to be used for ambient light sensing, proximity sensing, or to compensate for aging OLEDs. In some embodiments, photodiodes are fabricated with OLEDs during the TFT fabrication process. In some embodiments, the photodetectors may be disposed throughout the display in zones containing OLEDs. The photodetectors are used to control the display brightness and color for the OLEDs in areas around each photodetector based on ambient light, aging, and/or nearby objects. A controller makes driving strength adjustments to the OLEDs in each zone independent of other zones. Photodetectors disposed throughout the display may improve proximity sensing and provide additional functionality to the device.

The abradable coating includes a compound having the formula: Ln2ABO8, where Ln comprises scandium, yttrium, lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium, promethium, samarium, europium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, holmium, erbium, thulium, ytterbium, lutetium, or mixtures thereof; A comprises Si, Ti, Ge, or a combination thereof; and B comprises Mo, W, or a combination thereof. In one embodiment, the abradable coating has a first coefficient of thermal expansion at an interface with the environmental barrier coating that changes to a second coefficient of thermal expansion at its external surface. Methods are also provided for applying an abradable coating onto a CMC component.
