  • Patent number: 11761214
Abstract: A flooring element suitable for connection to other elements in a flooring system. The flooring element comprises a body, a female connector and a retainer. The body defines a connector surface that is horizontal when in use. The female connector comprises a connector recess which is suitable for receiving a male connector and also which defines a connector opening in the connector surface. The retainer is connectable to the body such that, while it is connected to the body, the retainer is movable between and open position and a closed position. When in the closed position, the retainer is arranged to restrict movement of the male connector to guard against the male connector exiting the connector recess through the connector opening. When in the open position, the retainer does not restrict movement of the male connector thereby permitting the male connector to exit the connector recess through the connector opening.

  • Publication number: 20230242910
Abstract: Provided herein are compositions of engineered guide RNAs relating to providing or engineering a structural target to attract adenosine deaminase acting on RNA (ADAR) editing to a desired site and methods of use thereof. Further provided herein are compositions and methods relating to recombinant adenosine deaminase acting on RNA (ADAR) split guide RNAs (adar-sgRNA). In certain embodiments, the adar-sgRNA composition comprises two guides-one guide with an ADAR recruiting domain and a second guide with a 5? and/or 3? RNA targeting domain for forming a trimolecular complex at a mismatch site that serves to recruit ADAR. Binding of the two adar-split gRNAs to the target RNA forms a trimolecular complex which recruits ADAR enzymes to deaminate one or more mismatched adenosine residues in the adar-split gRNA RNA targeting domain: target RNA duplex. In certain embodiments, such compositions and methods will be useful for modifying a coding sequence of a desired protein.

  • Publication number: 20230201049
Abstract: Powered patient support apparatuses—such as beds, cots, stretchers, or the like—include a plurality of user controls that allow a caregiver to control the steering and/or driving of one or more powered wheels from multiple different locations around the patient support apparatus (e.g. head end, foot end, and/or the sides). The control is carried out by force sensors that detect both an orientation of the applied forces and a magnitude of the applied forces. Translational and/or rotational movement is effectuated, depending upon the magnitude and direction of the forces, as well as the physical location of the applied force relative to a reference point on the support apparatus, such as the center. One or more object sensors may also be included in the support apparatus to assist in steering and/or navigating.
