  • Publication number: 20160224647
Abstract: A system for knowledge capture and discovery comprises a knowledge repository in which all input data is stored as objects and relationships between objects, and which input data may be stored according to more than one storage format. At least two hierarchical user interfaces provide input mechanisms to obtain the input data, object information concerning the input data and relationship information concerning the input data, thereby permitting end user applications to be developed. A controller receives the input data, object information and relationship information from the at least two hierarchical user interfaces and causes the input data to be stored in the knowledge repository as an object based on the object information and the relationship information.

  • Publication number: 20160019122
Abstract: The System Integrity Guardian can protect any type of object and repairs and restores the system back to its original state of integrity. The Client component is the user interface for administering the System Integrity Guardian environment. An administrator can determine which servers to protect, which objects to protect, and what actions will be taken when an event that breaches integrity occurs. The Monitor Agent component is the watchdog of the System Integrity Guardian that captures and addresses any event that occurs on any object being protected. The Server component includes the server and the Protected Object Central Repository. The authoritative copies are maintained, digital signatures are created and stored, objects are validated, and communication between the three units is performed.

  • Publication number: 20160007787
Abstract: A work mat on which a worker stands while operating a machine for comfort and for the purpose of easing of physical stress caused by standing on a non-compressible floor during a work day. The work mat includes a wooden platform with a peripheral synthetic border which tapers from the floor up to the top edge of the wooden platform. In addition, the synthetic border extends inward about one half inch under the peripheral edge of the wooden platform, thereby elevating the wooden platform above the floor. The wooden platform is therefore suspended over the floor and can flex up and down as a user walks on or stands on the mat, thereby absorbing some of the shock of walking and moving on the floor. The compressibility of the wooden platform adds to the comfort of the work mat as well.

  • Publication number: 20150075318
Abstract: An industrial symmetric pedal control system is provided which allows for ergonomically favorable operation by paired reciprocal control pedals which mirror an operator's right and left limbs. The reciprocal mirror control pedals allow operation of the same predetermined function within designated machinery by either the left or right foot of an operator, thus reducing fatigue while maintaining proper position at a particular workstation. Also included in the system is an ergonomically designed floor mat to provide the operator with more comfort and less fatigue while operating machinery.

  • Publication number: 20120279086
Abstract: An insertable shoe insole or shoe integrally formed therewith having electrostatic protection and a method of categorizing and selecting same which provides individual solutions to workplace fatigue and stress by determining the specific support needed for each individual. Specifically, the present invention defines and utilizes an ergonomic interaction factor to enable selection of a proper fitting shoe. Such selection occurs in one embodiment by dividing a person's weight by the contact area of the bottom of their feet. The insole includes an electrically conductive material for the purpose of eliminating the buildup of static charge by conducting static charges from the user's feet to conductive shoes which then transfer the charge to the floor.

  • Patent number: 7647176
Abstract: A system and method for wireless power transfer to an electronic device in motion, such as an inertial sensor assembly, is disclosed. In the method, a power level of a battery in the electronic device is monitored to determine whether the power level is at or below a prescribed threshold. One or more internal power ports of the electronic device are aligned with one or more external power ports when the power level is at or below the prescribed threshold. A wireless power signal is transmitted from the one or more external power ports to the one or more internal power ports. The power signal received by the one or more internal power ports is processed to charge the battery in the electronic device.

  • Patent number: 7457887
Abstract: Method and system for managing asynchronous event notifications (AENs) including comparing an AEN sequence number at a shared memory location with an AEN sequence number at a local memory location controlled by a application; acquiring an AEN from the shared memory, if the sequence number of the AEN in the local memory is different from the sequence number of the AEN in shared memory; determining if a version number of the AEN is current; and generating an AEN if the version number is not current, wherein the generated AEN allows other applications to update AEN version numbers. The system includes firmware code executed in an adapter; an adapter driver executed on a host computing system stores the AENs in a memory buffer; and a plurality of applications that use a shared memory where AENs and a version number associated with the AENs are stored.
