  • Patent number: 6039297
Abstract: A flashlight holder having a hollow interior walled casing which extends around the sides of a held flashlight. Apertures or holes in the casing's sides permit the tip and front part of a screwdriver to be insert into from one side of the casing to turn screws in an aligned side hole to mount the holder flush against a supporting surface, such as a wall. Upper opposite cut out portions of the casing allow the side switch on any retained flashlight to clear the adjacent casing wall if inserted in either of two different opposite orientations. A lower support rod fixed into the casing's side walls extends completely across the hollow interior of the casing and is used to support the lower base of a retained flashlight.

  • Patent number: 5872602
Abstract: The present invention comprises an apparatus and method for automatically controlling the degree of temporal integration in a real time video image processor. The degree of integration may be determined by a combination of image brightness detected over a specific area of an image and motion detected within specific locations within the image. The apparatus comprises two main components, an integrating processor and integrating controller. The integrating processor receives an incoming analog video signal and converts it in an A/D converter into a series of digital pixel values. These digital pixel values may then be passed through an arithmetic processing unit where each pixel value may be fractionalized and summed with a fractionalized value of a geometrically corresponding pixel or pixels stored in a memory (i.e., temporal or recursive filtration). The sum of these fractionalized pixel values may then in turn be stored in memory as a new pixel values.

  • Patent number: 5738135
Abstract: A dispensing apparatus for dispensing a chemical product mixed with water is connected to a water supply through a line pressure diverter which relieves pressure in downstream of the water supply when the dispensing apparatus is not activated. Pressure is diverted by diverting the flow of water from a water supply to a second outlet port on the diverter. The line pressure diverter permits a dispensing apparatus to be installed on conventional water supply faucets without substantial modification thereto, and without causing damage to any pre-existing backflow prevention devices installed on the water supply.

  • Patent number: 5524212
Abstract: A plurality of program processors, shared memory, dual port memory, external cache memory and a control processor form a multiprocessor system. A shared memory bus links the program processors, shared memory, dual port memory and external cache memory. Program processor I/O occurs through a pair of serial I/O channels coupled to one port of the dual port memory. A write generate mode is implemented for updating cache by first allocating lines of shared memory as write before read areas. For such lines, cache tags are updated directly on cache misses without reading from memory. A hit is forced for such line, resulting in valid data at the updated part and invalid data at the remaining portion. Thus, part of the line is written to and the rest invalidated. The invalid portions are not read, unless preceded by a write operation. The mode reduces the number of bus cycles by making write misses more efficient.

  • Patent number: 5520576
Abstract: A fish filleting machine makes an anal cut and a dorsal cut on opposite sides of the anal spine and dorsal spine, respectively, and then cuts through the ribs on either side of the backbone to split the fish into two individual portions each separate from the backbone, dorsal spine, anal spine and tail, but not ribs. Prior to making the anal cut, the fish is positioned by a pivoting guide horse so that its backbone is untouched during the anal and dorsal cuts. A pair of adjustable, opposing, elongated jaws are employed to feed fish to the guide horse to ensure the backbone of the fish engages the guide horse irregardless of the individual size or species of the fish. After removing the backbone, the individual portions are squeezed together so that a vertically orientated reciprocating blade may cut the ribs away from the flesh to produce a pair of fillets.
