  • Publication number: 20080033811
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for managing participants of a marketing campaign is disclosed. The method includes generating a marketing campaign with multiple tracks. Each track comprises one or more steps that indicate an activity executed on campaign participants. The method also includes generating segmentation conditions based on natural language statements. Each segmentation condition includes a rule and a time condition. Additionally, the method includes associating a campaign participant from a first track to a second track if behavior information satisfies a segmentation condition. The behavior information includes a response by the campaign participant to an activity indicated by a step in the first track.

  • Patent number: 6963243
Abstract: Current and previous input signal power measures are used to generate a combined index value that is applied to one or more composite look-up tables (e.g., an I LUT and a Q LUT) to retrieve one or more pre-distortion parameters (e.g., I and Q). In one embodiment, a combined index value is generated by concatenating current and previous power measures, where each composite LUT maps all possible combinations of the current and previous power measures to the corresponding pre distortion parameters values. By using a composite LUT for each of I and Q, the overall signal processing time of the pre-distortion processing can be greatly reduced relative to the prior art, resulting in a significantly smaller RF delay line used to delay the input signal and thereby providing a less costly and more efficient amplifier system.

  • Publication number: 20040262940
Abstract: Small driverless passenger vehicles are configured to carry passengers in either a shared or private mode by having laterally facing seating stations that are spaced from one another in which adjacent seating stations have opposite orientations so that passengers are neither directly opposite, nor directly proximate, one another. The vehicles have sliding U-shaped canopies cantilevered over the vehicle floor providing ingress and egress from both sides of the vehicles. The vehicles have rear openings for ventilation, which are covered by grilles and protected from precipitation by an overhanging portion of the vehicle's roof. The vehicles are used in combination with a passenger transportation line having stations that include queues for shared vehicle use and queues for private vehicle use.

  • Patent number: 6830121
Abstract: A control system for increasing the fuel economy in a combustion engine by controlling the limit of turbo boost under a given set of conditions regarding vehicle speed. When a vehicle speed is above the manufactures drop-out speed, an intermediate set speed limit (between drop-out speed and cruise set speed) and a turbo boost limit is set. Turbo boost is limited to a specific pounds per square inch as long as the vehicle speed exceeds the intermediate set speed. By limiting the turbo boost, the fuel efficiency is increased while the vehicle is operating above the intermediate set speed. The vehicle FES can be designed to operate in an automatic mode, a semi-automatic mode or a manual mode, although an automatic mode of operation is most desirable.

  • Publication number: 20040247588
Abstract: The present invention is directed to novel formulations of modified antibodies and to methods of producing the same. The modified antibodies formulated according to the present invention each comprise an antibody fragment covalently attached to at least one nonproteinaceous polymer, such as poly(ethyleneglycol). CDP870 is an example of one such modified antibody, a therapeutic modified antibody. One method disclosed herein involves the removal from a solution of the modified antibody of molecules capable of adversely affecting the stability or solubility of the modified antibody after lyophilization (e.g., by dialysis or diafiltration), followed by lyophilization of the modified antibody. Another method involves concentration of a modified antibody solution by equilibrium dialysis. The methods of the present invention can be used to produce formulations suitable for use in subcutaneous and parenteral injection, including high concentration formulations.

  • Patent number: 6769442
Abstract: An apparatus, useful as a hunting blind, includes a base, a seat operably mounted on the base, and a spring-biased camouflaged hood movably supported over the seat. A latch holds the hood down until a hunter sits on the seat, releasing the latch, but the hunter's weight then holds the hood down against the spring. The spring automatically moves the hood from a closed hiding position toward an open position when a hunter stands up, as the hunter removes his weight from the seat. The base is adapted with radially-extending feet for stability.

  • Patent number: 6510759
Abstract: A force coupling transfer device for use in marine equipment, snowmobiles, boats, automobiles, machinery, aircraft, recreational vehicles and other industries. The force coupling transfer device allows linear or rotational forces to be transferred from an input device to a controlled device. The force coupling transfer device includes an elongated flexible outer sheath and a movable flexible inner spring member. The inner spring member substantially transfers forces between two remote points located in a control space. The elongated flexible outer sheath is preferably a coiled spring and allows lubricating materials to pass through the surface to lubricate the inner spring member. A strain relief device, which may be a coiled spring, is preferably positioned around the outer sheath, adjacent to its ends, to prevent excessive bending of the outer sheath.

  • Publication number: 20020161596
Abstract: A system and method for the validation of devices (preferably device addresses) in an enterprise environment is provided. In one embodiment, a host agent of an enterprise environment queries the storage device(s) embedded in or communicatively coupled to a host system associated with the agent for device identification information. Preferably, the host agent then compares the returned information to some or all of the information stored for the queried device(s) at the host system, which preferably includes address information. If for a device, the stored information matches the returned information, the address information for the device stored at the host system is accepted as valid. In at least one embodiment, additional validation steps are performed before the address information is accepted as valid. If, on the other hand, the information does not match, the host agent(s) flags the stored information as invalid and corrective action is taken.

  • Publication number: 20020161934
Abstract: The present invention is directed towards a system and method for the communication of computer data between at least one host and an administration system (preferably, a storage management system). In at least one embodiment, discovery data is gathered by one or more host systems (preferably by an agent residing on each of these host systems) and the structure(s) of such data is(are) defined using a markup language (preferably XML). In at least one embodiment, the data is then transported from the host systems to the storage management system via a remote procedure call (preferably an operating system independent remote procedure call such as Java RMI).

  • Patent number: 6341146
Abstract: A demodulator demodulates a PSK communications signal using a synchronizer, a period window detector, and a logic device. The synchronizer provides a transition signal representing reference edges of the communication signal. The period window detector, coupled to the synchronizer, establishes a time interval based on the period of the transition signal. Finally, the logic device, having logic inputs coupled to the outputs of the period-window detector, yields a logic output signal. The demodulator preferably includes a carrier boundary detector for framing messages and minimizing noise detection in a manner that permits signal strength measurements over a wide dynamic range.
