  • Patent number: 8770908
Abstract: A support structure for a tilt cylinder of a machine that controls movement of an articulating implement may include a mounting plate, vertical support plates extending outwardly from a top surface of the mounting plate, and a central and side gussets connected to the top surface of the mounting plate and to the outer sides of the vertical support plates. The gussets assist in transitioning lateral or horizontal forces on the vertical support plates to the mounting plate and the end frame of the machine to reduce fatigue cracking at the points of connection of the vertical support plates to the mounting plate. The support structure may further include first and second lower support plates having top edges spaced from each other and connected to the bottom surface of the mounting plate, and bottom edges connected to each other so that the lower support plates and the mounting plate form a triangle in cross-section to further assist in transitioning the forces to the end frame.

  • Publication number: 20140181949
Abstract: The present invention provides methods of and systems to create an infrastructure firewall for devices such as power systems that support personnel and systems. In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, a system includes at least one infrastructure device, at least one data-gathering client, at least one server and at least one end-user client. The infrastructure device is secured by the data-gathering client having no ability to communicate with any device to which it does not initiate the communication. The data-gathering client makes use of a private network between itself and one or more infrastructure devices to which no one may interrupt the communications. The data-gathering client then securely pushes data received with respect to the cyber security, physical security and operating parameters of the infrastructure devices.

  • Publication number: 20140122897
Abstract: Integrity management architecture is extended with trusted hash provisioning. The trusted hash provisioning ensures the integrity of a computing device. Thus, a multipurpose device can be as secure as a dedicated single-purpose device. The trusted hash provisioning includes determining a hash mask, and computing a trusted hash computation based on signatures of components identified as included within the scope of the hash. The computed trusted hash computation is used to determine integrity of the computing device.

  • Publication number: 20120056504
Abstract: A pyroelectric thermal energy harvesting apparatus for generating an electric current includes a cantilevered layered pyroelectric capacitor extending between a first surface and a second surface, where the first surface includes a temperature difference from the second surface. The layered pyroelectric capacitor includes a conductive, bimetal top electrode layer, an intermediate pyroelectric dielectric layer and a conductive bottom electrode layer. In addition, a pair of proof masses is affixed at a distal end of the layered pyroelectric capacitor to face the first surface and the second surface, wherein the proof masses oscillate between the first surface and the second surface such that a pyroelectric current is generated in the pyroelectric capacitor due to temperature cycling when the proof masses alternately contact the first surface and the second surface.

  • Patent number: 7871004
Abstract: A wafer stage overlay error map is created using standard overlay targets and a special numerical algorithm. A reticle including a 2-dimensional array of standard overlay targets is exposed several times onto a photoresist coated silicon wafer using a photolithographic exposure tool. After exposure, the overlay targets are measured for placement error using a conventional overlay metrology tool. The resulting overlay error data is then supplied to a software program that generates a 2-dimensional wafer stage distortion and yaw overlay error map.
