Abstract: A computer-based method for representing a project includes accessing a description of the project and displaying, based on the description, at least a portion of the project in a perspective representation that generally resembles a path. A computer program product includes instructions that cause a processor to convert a description of the project into display instructions for displaying at least a portion of the project in a perspective representation, displaying relative progress of the project relative to an expected progress of the project, and displaying a relative rate of progress of the project relative to an expectation of a rate of progress. The computer program product is tangibly stored on machine readable media.

Abstract: A bat is provided including a handle portion, a barrel portion and a core member. The barrel portion has an interior cavity with an interior surface. The core member is disposed in the interior cavity of the barrel portion. The core member has an exterior surface engaged with the interior surface of the barrel portion. The handle portion extends into the interior cavity of the barrel portion and is coupled to the core member. The coupling of the core member to the handle allows the impact of the barrel portion on a ball to be transmitted to the user through the core member and the handle portion. The bat may thereby provide the user with an increased sense of the quality of the contact with the ball.

Abstract: A cold and/or heat accumulator with a plurality of carrier elements which are charged with a cold or heat storage medium, and with at least one heat exchanger which is designed to have a heat transfer medium flow through it in order to cause heat exchange between the cold or heat storage medium and the heat transfer medium. The at least one heat exchanger has a serpentine hollow section, and carrier elements are provided between the legs of the loops of the serpentine hollow section. Two heat exchangers can be provided with the loops of the serpentine hollow section one heat exchanger being interspersed with those of the serpentine hollow section of the other heat exchanger. Preferably, the carrier elements are made of a porous metal foam, and the inlet and outlet for the heat transfer medium are located together at a bottom area at one side of the accumulator.

Abstract: In order to be able to adjust the tension and position of a material web, for example, a paper web, that should be printed by a printer, an electrostatically-acting braking device is described that provides a charger, for example, a corotron, and a braking plate, between which the material web runs. The charger charges the material web, which is thereby drawn to the braking plate, lies on the braking plate, and is braked via friction. It is advantageous that the charge voltage of the charger and be controlled via sensors for the web tension and web position and can very quickly react to the signals of the sensors.
