  • Patent number: 11933767
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and systems for the characterization of a potential microtexture region (MTR) of a sample, component, or the like. The methods may include determining a threshold width of spatial correlation coefficient and/or a threshold spatial correlation coefficient slope for an actual MTR, characterizing a potential MTR as an actual MTR or a defect, characterizing an actual MTR as an acceptable MTR or not, and/or characterizing various components with potential MTRs as defective or not. The characterization may include calculating a width of spatial correlation coefficient and/or a spatial correlation coefficient slope of the potential MTR and comparing the width of spatial correlation coefficient to a threshold width of spatial correlation coefficient and/or comparing the spatial correlation coefficient slope to a threshold spatial correlation coefficient slope for the potential MTR to be characterized as an actual MTR or a defect (crack).

  • Patent number: 11927197
Abstract: In one example, a centrifugal fan includes a bearing, a shaft rotatably supported by the bearing, fan blades operatively connected to and rotatable with the shaft to take in air axially and to exhaust air radially, and a groove in the shaft extending axially along an outer surface of the shaft through the bearing.

  • Patent number: 11898688
Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to corrugated pipe, and more particularly to corrugated pipe with an outer wrap. In one embodiment, a pipe includes an axially extended bore defined by a corrugated outer wall having axially adjacent, outwardly-extending corrugation crests, separated by corrugation valleys. The pipe also includes an outer wrap applied to the outer wall. The outer wrap may include fibers and plastic. The outer wrap may span the corrugation crests producing a smooth outer surface.

  • Publication number: 20230360001
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for controlling access, of an employer, to verified credentials associated with a candidate during a recruitment process, such that the employer is protected from accessing the verified credential prior to delivery of the offer of employment. In some example embodiments, a confirmation is received indicating that the candidate has provided authorization that permits access of an employer to a verified credential associated with the candidate. Access of the employer to the verified credential is prevented until after a digital employment offer is verified and communicated to the candidate. After having communicated the digital offer of employment to the candidate, access of the employer to the verified credential is permitted. In some example embodiments, the authorization of access of the employer to the verified credential is stored as a variable in a smart contract of a distributed ledger.

  • Patent number: 11788992
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and systems for the characterization of a microtexture of a sample, component, or the like. The methods may include methods of determining a service life limiting region of a component, determining a treatment method for a component, and/or selecting components from a batch of components for use in production. The characterization may include calculating a microtexture level indicator from ultrasonic C-scan images for various samples, regions, components, or the like. The microtexture level indicator may include at least one of an average peak factor, a standard deviation of peak amplitude, and/or a baseband bandwidth.

  • Patent number: 11619618
Abstract: Provided is a system and method for tuning an array of sensors to enable selection of the most suitable sensors for a target application. After extracting features from sensor raw data, the extracted features are ranked with gradient boosting decision trees to assign an importance value to each extracted feature. A threshold value for the entire set of extracted features is calculated and an importance score is calculated for the individual sensors of the array. Individual sensors with an importance score on or above the threshold value are selected for the target application.

  • Patent number: 11614432
Abstract: Provided is a gas sensor system with a gas sensor, and a microprocessor programmed to control the gas sensor with at least two operational modes. The first operational mode controls the gas sensor from a baseline level through analyte detection. Upon initiation of the recovery phase after analyte withdrawal, the gas sensor system switches to the second operational mode, which changes conditions of the gas sensor to (i) accelerate removal of the analyte from the gas sensor and (ii) accelerate recovery of the gas sensor output towards the baseline level. When no further analyte is detected, the gas sensor switches back to the first operational mode or to an additional operational mode to complete recovery.
