  • Patent number: 11951011
Abstract: A line of joint implant systems includes an implant including a cup to be affixed in one of the elements of the considered joint, defining a smooth inner cavity of substantially hemispherical shape. The implant also includes an insert, mobile within the inner cavity of the fixation cup and having its smooth outer surface intended to cooperate by ball-and-socket joint with the inner cavity, and defining in turn a smooth inner cavity of substantially hemispherical shape. The implant further includes a head or ball, solid with a second element of the joint, of spherical shape, intended to be received in the inner cavity of the mobile insert and to form a second ball-and-socket joint. The ratio of the inner diameter of the inner cavity of the fixation cup to the inner diameter of the inner cavity of the mobile insert is constant, whatever the diameter of the selected ball.

  • Patent number: 11918792
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a dose detection system for use with a medication delivery device in which a dose setting member rotates relative to an actuator during dose delivery. The dose detection system includes a module which is removably attached to the medication delivery device. The module includes a rotation sensor attached to the actuator during dose delivery. A sensed element is attached to the dose setting member and includes surface features detectable by the rotation sensor. The rotation sensor comprises a following member including a contact portion resting against and spring-biased in the direction of the surface features. The contact surface is positioned to move over the surface features during rotation of the sensed element, and the rotation sensor is responsive to the movement of the contact portion over the surface features to detect the rotation of the dose setting member.

  • Patent number: 11507557
Abstract: Method and system are provided for dynamic sampling of streaming data using finite memory. The method includes configuring a number of data points required in a sample of incoming streaming data and providing memory slots in a memory reservoir for the number of data points, with the memory slots each configured to store a position index and signal data pair for a data point, and each memory slot having a filtering thread configured to determine whether an index and signal data pair of the incoming streaming data should be stored in the memory slot. The filtering threads are configured to dynamically repopulate the memory slots for the number of data points with index and signal data pairs at increasing arrival intervals in the stream of streaming data as the incoming streaming data arrives.

  • Patent number: 9781967
Abstract: A footwear with refractive internal illumination has a footwear, a translucent body and an illumination system. A translucent body refracts light at a first index, cavities refract light at a second index, the first index of light and the second index of light then reflect between the translucent body and at least one cylindrical elongated opaque strap, the at least one cylindrical elongated opaque strap then refracts the first index and second index of light to create twice refracted light, whereby the first index of twice refracted light internally illuminates the at least one cylindrical elongated opaque strap, and whereby the second index of twice refracted light appears as brighter points of light on the at least one cylindrical elongated opaque strap.

  • Publication number: 20170000208
Abstract: Twice-refracted light, produced by emitting light for refraction from a translucent body, reflection between said translucent body and an opaque section of an upper, and refraction again by the upper, is applied to footwear to create an enhanced internal illumination effect. To create this, at least one light source is connected to a power source and installed into a footwear. The light source is connected to the translucent body, where light is first refracted. The upper can be implemented as a cylindrical elongated strap or as an enclosed part of a footwear. Aesthetic designs can be incorporated into the upper by adding light-refracting sections to the upper, as well as through light-impermeable stencils. To enhance the refraction of light and ultimate brightness and intensity as observed by a person, refractive boundary sections can be incorporated to the translucent body. Further enhancements and alterations regarding the twice-refracted light remain possible.

  • Patent number: 9301574
Abstract: An illumination system is housed in a footwear, the footwear including a sole and an upper. An interfacing layer and a liner form inner interior layers connected to the upper. A plurality of illumination sources are electrically connected to a power source and positioned adjacent to the liner. The illumination sources are positioned between the liner and upper. The upper has a light diffusing section. The light emitted from the plurality of illumination sources is diffused as it passes through the light diffusing section of the upper. Aesthetic designs can be creating, either through the arrangement of the plurality of illumination sources or the provision of a light impermeable section on the upper. The light impermeable section, in combination with the light diffusion section, can be used to form or outline an aesthetic design. The result is an internally illuminated footwear with diffused light.

  • Patent number: 9265299
Abstract: The sole section of a shoe includes a midsole and an outsole which form a translucent sole section. The translucent midsole and translucent outsole are integrally molded with a translucent upper to create a fully translucent jelly footwear. An illumination system is located inside the translucent sole section, causing the jelly footwear to be internally illuminated when the illumination system is active. Due to the translucent nature of the midsole light from the illumination system reflects internally throughout the midsole, increasing illumination. The light will also illuminate the adjacent translucent outsole and translucent upper. Light from the illumination system can be blocked, such as by a colored mold injection, creating an illuminated design or logo. By blacking out or covering sections of the translucent outsole, shapes and letters of visible light can be created in the resulting negative space. This allows illuminated designs to easily be incorporated into footwear.
