  • Patent number: 4823819
Abstract: An apparatus for removing plastic residues from parts of plastics processing machines includes a vessel which is closed in air tight manner by an end plate and contains heat transfer fluid. Immersing within the heat transfer fluid is a disk which is operatively connected to a vibrator so as to oscillate for improving the cleaning action. Placed on the end plate is a tubular casing box which is divided into a lower compartment which is essentially sealed off and in which the vibrator is accommodated and into an upper compartment which is open to the atmosphere. At least one pipe traverses the lower compartment for connecting the interior of the vessel with the upper compartment so that vapor and gases may escape through this pipe. A filter is arranged within the upper compartment for absorbing the vapor and gases to prevent the release of obnoxious gases.

  • Patent number: 4635765
Abstract: The invention provides an improved adjustable hydraulic apparatus of the type having a hollow piston rod operably associated with a damping piston means which divides the interior of a cylinder member into first and second halves filled with damping fluid. At least one throttle means is operably associated with the damping piston means. The hollow piston rod includes a traverse bore disposed above the damping piston means for the constant passage of damping fluid therethrough. An axially displaceable tension rod is disposed within the interior of the hollow piston rod and is operably associated with an adjusting device. The improvement to the damper apparatus, according to this invention, provides an annular gap defined by the tension rod in combination with the inner surface of the hollow piston rod, which functions as a throttle restriction.

  • Patent number: 4611614
Abstract: An apparatus for cleaning those parts of processing machines of synthetic materials on which synthetic residues adhere includes a container which receives the parts and is airtightly closable. This container is associated to a heating unit which heats a liquid carrier medium to a temperature above the melting point of the synthetic residues adhering to the parts to be cleaned therefrom. The container is tiltable around a horizontal axis between a horizontal charging position and a vertical operating position. Connected to the container is a tank which is located below the container when the apparatus is in the horizontal position, and which accommodates the heat carrier medium. Upon movement of the container and the tank from the horizontal position into the vertical position, the heat carrier medium flows into the container and upon reverse movement flows back into the tank. An overflow determines the maximum filling level of the heat carrier medium in the container.
