In some embodiments, attribute information indicating attributes of an item placed in the locker system may be obtained, and the attribute information may be processed to determine a categorization of the item. In response to the categorization satisfying one or more categorization conditions, product/service information related to a product or service may be provided for presentation to the user. In response to receiving user acceptance of the product or service, an item return condition may be assigned to the item. In response to the user satisfying the item return condition, access rights to the item may be enabled for the user.

Abstract: A system for determining customer interest in goods includes one or more memory devices storing instructions and one or more processors configured to execute the instructions. The processors are configured to receive customer location data from a smart device associated with a customer and to monitor, based on the customer location data, a current location of the customer. The processors are further configured to receive location data indicating locations of tags associated with goods for sale and determine that the customer is interested in a particular good for sale based on the current customer location remaining in proximity to the location of the particular tag for a predetermined period of time. The processors also conduct a search of pricing of the particular good at one or more other retailers and send a price comparison to the customer.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments may provide keys for unlocking access to a location, like a user room, a secure location, a door at an employee location, a trunk, a closet or other locked location or item, on a payment card. Examples of a payment card include but are not limited to a credit card, a debit card, a smart card, an employee identification card, etc. A secure token that acts as digital key may be uploaded to the payment card. The payment card may then be put in close proximity of a wireless reader at the lock. The wireless reader obtains the secure token and extracts the contents. If the contents are proper, the lock is unlocked. Otherwise, the lock remains locked.

The processors are configured to receive customer location data from a smart device associated with a customer indicating the customer is within a retail venue of a retailer and to monitor, based on the customer location data, a current location of the customer within the retail venue. The processors are further configured to receive goods location data indicating locations of goods for sale within the retail venue and determine that the customer is interested in a particular good for sale within the retail venue based on the current customer location remaining in proximity to the location of the particular good for a predetermined period of time. The processors also conduct a search of pricing of the particular good at one or more other retailers and send a price comparison to the customer.

Abstract: In a method of controlling an operational parameter of a smart apparatus, a user processing device receives user-defined criteria for changing the operational parameter based on a financial parameter associated with an account. The user processing device obtains a value for the financial parameter from a financial institution server a value and determines whether the user-defined criteria have been met. Responsive to a determination that the user-defined criteria have been met, the user processing device transmits to the smart apparatus a first instruction to change the operational parameter. The user processing device may then receive an updated value for the financial parameter from the financial institution server and determine whether the user-defined criteria are no longer being met. Responsive to a determination that the user-defined criteria are no longer being met, the user processing device transmits to the smart apparatus a second instruction to change the operational parameter.
