Abstract: An electric motor assembly includes a stator, a rotor, a motor housing, a rotatable shaft, a radial fan, and an air scoop. The motor housing at least partly houses the stator and rotor and presents an exterior motor surface. The rotatable shaft is associated with the rotor for rotational movement therewith, with the rotatable shaft extending along a rotational axis. The radial fan is mounted on the rotatable shaft exteriorly of the motor housing and is rotatable with the shaft to direct airflow in a radially outward direction. The air scoop extends radially outwardly relative to the radial fan and axially to receive radial airflow from the radial fan and turn the airflow axially to flow along the exterior motor surface. The air scoop includes spaced apart axially extending airflow vanes to guide the airflow as the airflow is turned axially.

  • Publication number: 20220318260
Abstract: An electronic device has one or more processors and memory. The memory stores one or more programs configured for execution by the one or more processors. The device receives a request directed to a data source. The request includes one or more intent types and one or more predefined attributes associated with the intent types. Each of the predefined attributes limits a respective data analysis operation of a respective intent type. In response to the request, for each of the intent types, the device formulates a respective intent specification according to the request. The device also applies one or more respective rules corresponding to the respective intent type to determine whether the respective intent type is ambiguous and/or underspecified. When the respective intent type is ambiguous and/or underspecified, the device infers information to resolve the ambiguous and/or underspecified intent.

  • Publication number: 20220318261
Abstract: An electronic device running a first application has one or more processors and memory. The memory stores one or more programs configured for execution by the one or more processors. The device downloads, from a server system, a visual analytics intent library, which is configured to execute across a plurality of applications, including the first application. The device configures the library to execute on the device based on the device running the first application. After the configuring, the device receives a request directed to a data source. The request includes one or more intent types and one or more predefined attributes associated with the one or more intent types. In accordance with the request, for each of the intent types, the device formulates a respective intent specification according to the library. It also determines one or more respective properties of the respective intent specification according to the respective predefined attributes.

  • Patent number: 11454087
Abstract: A port assembly for controlling fluid flow through a flow port of a port sub. The port assembly comprises a dissolvable barrier, a burst disk for protecting the dissolvable barrier from fluids inside the port sub, and optionally a protective layer for protecting the dissolvable barrier from external fluids. When the burst disk is ruptured by increased fluid pressure inside the port sub, the dissolvable barrier starts disintegrating from exposure to the fluid. When the dissolvable barrier and protective layer are broken through, a flow passage is opened in the port assembly to permit fluid flow therethrough. The flow passage may be positioned tangentially in the port sub. The breakthrough time of the dissolvable barrier may be preconfigured by providing one or more thinner areas therein and/or placing a corrosive material in the port assembly.

  • Publication number: 20220069677
Abstract: A method of electrically grounding a rotor shaft of an electric motor includes removing a first lockplate fastener from a motor endshield and an internal bearing lockplate. A second lockplate fastener remains coupled to the motor endshield and internal bearing lockplate such that the internal bearing lockplate stays secured along an interior side of the motor endshield. A mounting plate of a shaft ground assembly is positioned along an exterior side of the motor endshield. The mounting plate supports a shaft ground that includes a conductive element configured to electrically couple to the rotor shaft. The first lockplate fastener is replaced with a first mounting plate fastener coupled to the mounting plate, motor endshield, and bearing lockplate to secure the mounting plate to the endshield and to secure the bearing lockplate along the interior side of the motor endshield.

  • Patent number: 11264869
Abstract: A motor includes a shaft presenting a shaft lead end, a switch assembly including a switch arm shiftable between a first position and a second position, and shield structure. The shaft lead end and the switch assembly are disposed axially outward of an endhsield. The shield structure is disposed axially outward of the switch arm to at least substantially restrict direct tool access to the switch arm from an axially outward position relative to the switch arm. The shield structure at least in part defines first and second tool access channels each extending radially inwardly to the shaft lead end, such that the shield structure enables direct tool access to the shaft lead end via the tool access channels but prevents or at least substantially restricts direct tool access to the switch arm via the tool access channels.

  • Publication number: 20220036265
Abstract: Methods, computer systems, computer-storage media, and graphical user interfaces are provided for enhancing remote work productivity data. In one embodiment, worker data is obtained for a set of target workers and a set of control workers. The target workers are generally identified as working in the office prior to a treatment date and working remote after a treatment date, and the control workers are generally identified as working remote before and after the treatment date. Thereafter, an effect of working remotely is determined using a difference-in-differences model that measures differences in observational changes between the set of target workers and the set of control workers measured before and after the treatment date. The effect of working remotely can be used to generate a generating a productivity score indicating an extent of productivity in relation to the set of target workers.

  • Publication number: 20220004561
Abstract: A method of interactive visual analysis is performed at a computer. The computer generates a data visualization by executing a data visualization data flow graph comprising a directed graph having a plurality of nodes. Each of the nodes specifies either a data retrieval operation or a data transformation operation and the data visualization comprises visual marks having a first set of characteristics, including a first mark type and one or more first visual mark encodings. A user specifies a second mark type and/or one or more second visual mark encodings. In response, the computer updates a portion, less than all, of the data flow graph according to the second mark type and/or the one or more second visual mark encodings, and generates an updated data visualization by executing updated nodes of the data flow graph without executing nodes not updated according to the user input.

  • Publication number: 20210326339
Abstract: A method generates data visualizations. A computing device retrieves a set of tuples from a database according to user selection. Each tuple has the same set of fields. The device identifies a relation between tuples. The relation is a non-empty set of ordered pairs of tuples from the set of tuples. A user selects a base tuple from the set of tuples and the device forms a filtered subset of tuples consisting of the selected base tuple and those tuples that are connected to the selected base tuple by a sequence of tuples that are related by the relation. The user selects an aggregation level, which consisting of fields from the set of fields. The device generates and displays a data visualization by aggregating the filtered subset of tuples at the selected aggregation level to form a set of aggregated tuples, and displaying each aggregated tuple as a visible mark.
