  • Publication number: 20060256231
Abstract: An image pick-up apparatus and image pick-up method are provided, in which plural photographed images obtained by a continuous shooting are composed into one image, whereby an image of high image quality and of high resolution is obtained, which is not degraded due to blur. An object is shot continuously at such a high shutter speed that blur is not caused due to camera shake, and plural shot images are combined such that object images in the plural shot images coincide with each other, whereby one sharp image of the object is obtained. A correction direction mark is displayed together with a through image during a shooting operation. The correction direction mark indicates a direction and amount to be corrected by its size, when a location of the object image in each shot image shifts from an initial location in an initial shot image out of a predetermined allowable range.

  • Publication number: 20060069925
Abstract: With respect to encrypted content 104 stored in content storage medium 102, by storing information with a small data amount related to the encrypted content 104 in content storage medium 102 in association with the encrypted content 104, it is possible to distinguish between encrypted content 104 based on the related information without decoding the encrypted content 104 with a large data amount. It is thereby possible to more readily distinguish between a plurality of pieces of content stored in the content storage medium.

  • Publication number: 20040242029
Abstract: The card writer (101) detects whether the sliding member (1) constituting the slide switch of the SD memory card is in the first position or the second position. The device driver (60) of the host computer (100) sets the memory area within the SD memory card to the writable state when the sliding member is in the first position. On the other hand, when the sliding member is in the second position, the device driver sets the memory area to the non-writable state except a part of the memory area. This part is the protected area (25) that is writable even when the protected area (25) is set to the non-writable state.

  • Publication number: 20040236788
Abstract: The present invention makes it possible to perform a use time limit control by means of absolute time and date and relative time and date by retaining use date information and use time period information as use restriction information on content and by updating the use date information with a time and date calculated from current time and date 120 and use time period information. In addition, the invention prevents an unauthorized viewing of content, which may be done by willfully turning a terminal clock back, where such a prevention is achieved by limiting an approval for use of content only in a case where it is confirmed that current time and date is after reference time and date, found through a comparison of the current time and date with the reference time and date, where a terminal or storage medium 110 retains such reference time and date information that is subjected to updating at a specific timing.

  • Publication number: 20040225612
Abstract: With content management apparatus 110 serving as a copy origin and storage medium 120 as a copy target, the copy origin retains allowed copy count control information on content, and when the content is copied from the copy origin to the copy target, the allowed copy count control information retained at the copy origin before copy processing is updated in accordance with a predetermined rule to generate allowed copy count control information to be retained at the copy origin and allowed copy count control information to be retained at the copy target, and subsequent copy processing at the copy origin is done based on the allowed copy count control information retained at the copy origin, whereas subsequent copy processing on the content stored in storage medium 120 is done based on the allowed copy count control information stored in storage medium 120. In this way, it is possible to achieve content management which is easily understandable for users.

  • Publication number: 20040117309
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a content management system in which content data recorded on a memory card (1) is used by a content use terminal (2). The memory card (1) has recorded, in a protected area of which reading from outside is restricted, protected information including use restriction information indicative of conditions for using encrypted content data, and key information. The content use terminal (2) performs mutual authentication with the memory card (1). Furthermore, the content user terminal (2) reads the protected information from the protected area only when mutual authentication succeeds. Then, based on the use restriction information included in the read protected information, it is decided whether or not the content data recorded on the memory card (1) is usable. Also, the management server (3) transmits use restriction update information to the content use terminal (2) so as to update the use restriction information.

  • Publication number: 20030041253
Abstract: A recording apparatus for an SD memory card that has a plurality of EPUBxxx.KEY files recorded thereon, each file having a plurality of Key&Rule Entry areas, and an SD_EPUB.MMG file being read from the recording medium prior to the writing of data. A bitmap in SD_EPUB.MMG shows for each EPUBxxx.KEY file whether the EPUBxxx.KEY file has at least one Key&Rule Entry area not in use, or whether all the Key&Rule Entry areas are in use. Based on the bitmap in the read SD_EPUB.MMG file, the recording apparatus opens EPUB#u.KEY having an unused Key&Rule Entry area and writes data into the unused Key&Rule Entry area in the file. If all the Key&Rule Entry areas in EPUB#u.KEY become in use as a result of the writing of the data, the recording apparatus updates the bitmap in SD_EPUB.MMG.

  • Patent number: 5065869
Abstract: A vibration damping device includes first and second accelerometers which are used to determine the relative displacement between a body and a base between which the device is operatively connected. The output of one of the accelerometers is also monitored in a manner to determine the frequency of the vibration. This data is processed in a manner to ascertain the timing when the phases of a vertical spring input (produced by the compression of an elastomeric member which defines the main spring of the damper) and an expansion spring input (produced the displacement of rheopetic fluid between first and second variable volume chamber and the associated expansion characeristics of the members defining the same) are reversed. Using this data and the vibration frequency data the timing with which a voltage should be applied to electrodes disposed in an orifice interposed between the first and second chambers to increase the viscosity of the rheopetic fluid and increase the flow resistance of the orifice.

  • Patent number: 4928935
Abstract: In order to attenuate low and intermediate frequency vibration ranges a mounting device is provided with two electronically controlled variable orifices. During low frequency vibrational ranges one is left either de-energized or partially energized to permit either free or limited communication between a main working chamber and a first auxiliary or expansion chamber, while the other is fully energized to close communication between the main chamber and a second auxiliary chamber. When the higher vibrational range is entered the first orifice is conditioned to cut off communication with the first auxiliary chamber and while the second is de-energized. The passage structure in the second orifice unit is designed to induce the fluid therein to undergo resonance when the higher vibration frequency is applied thereto.

  • Patent number: 4913409
Abstract: A vibration damper includes first and second electrode bodies which are operatively connected with a vibrating body and a base, respectively and which are immersed in a rheopetic fluid. The relative velocity and displacement between the body and the base are determined and used to control the voltage applied across the electrode bodies in manner wherein when the relative displacement and velocity are out of phase, a high voltage is applied to electrodes to induce a high damping force and as the period wherein the two parameters go in phase is approchaed, the voltage is continuously reduced to reduce the damping force.
