  • Patent number: 5669488
Abstract: In a push button switch with a star wheel having segments with trip cams and being supported in the push button so as to be rotatable about an axis which is normal to the operating direction of the push button, the star wheel is rotated, when the push button is actuated, by an unlatching structure formed on a rotation latch disposed adjacent the star wheel and engaging a projection on the star wheel. The trip cam wheel has cams which operate contact springs disposed adjacent the star wheel along the path of actuating movement of the star wheel whereby contacts are closed or opened depending on the angular position of the cams. Upon release of the push button, the push button is returned by return elements to its original position while the star wheel slides along the contact springs without operating the contacts.

  • Patent number: 5659321
Abstract: A conventional radar module (1) for level measurements is designed for operation within a specific, narrowly restricted frequency range. To enable level measurements to be implemented at a substantially higher frequency without involving any change in the existing radar module (1) whatsoever, a frequency converter circuit (2) is inserted between the duplexer antenna (7) designed for said higher frequency and the antenna port (A) of the radar module (1). This frequency converter circuit (2) which can be realized at small expense converts the lower frequency into the higher frequency in the direction from the radar module (1) to the antenna (7) and the higher frequency into the lower frequency in the opposite direction.

  • Patent number: 5614911
Abstract: In a method of level measurement on a radar basis, microwaves are emitted by means of an antenna to the surface of a material in a container and the echo waves reflected from the surface thereof are received. An actual echo function representing the echo amplitudes as a function of the distance is formed from the echo waves received by the antenna for each measurement, the probable useful echo and the transit time thereof are established from the actual echo function, and the distance of the material surface from the antenna is determined therefrom. To recognize the formation of a deposit and/or other trouble, such as e.g. damage to or loss of the antenna, an undisturbed echo function corresponding to an undisturbed measurement is obtained and stored prior to performing the measurements. In each measurement the actual echo function is compared to the stored undisturbed echo function.

  • Patent number: 5349537
Abstract: A hydraulically damped rubber bearing, that supports a vibrating mechanical subassembly on a substructure, has an actuator with an electromagnetic drive mechanism associated with a fluid filled chamber. The drive mechanism is responsive to performance characteristic controls which are electrically connected to at least one signal emitter in the subassembly and have a final stage in the front of a power amplifier.

  • Patent number: 5220897
Abstract: A line (3) provided between the head space (11) of the fuel tank (10) and the induction tube (1) of the engine contains an absorption element (9) and can be shut off by a signal-actuated servo valve (8) connected to the outlet from the absorption element. The line (3) is provided with a first sensor (4) preceding the absorption element (9) and detecting gas flows. A vacuum actuator (12) following the servo valve (8) is provided with a second sensor (13) which gives a signal when actuated. The first sensor (4) and the second sensor (13) are connected for carrying signals to a diagnosis block (14) which compares them with the signal (17) actuating the servo valve (8) and uses them for fault diagnosis.
