  • Patent number: 11944325
Abstract: A system for robotic surgery makes use of an end-effector which has been configured so that a drill connected thereto is guided in its trajectory and limited in its advancement into an associated anatomical feature by a drill guide. The drill guide may be adjusted manually to engage a corresponding surface of the drill after its advancement by a pre-selected amount. The drill guide likewise includes features to guide the drill during trajectories having oblique angles relative to the surface of the anatomical feature associated with the medical procedure.

  • Publication number: 20240098186
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for centralized validation of potential network calls, such as calls proposing database transactions, on a distributed system. The distributed system may include multiple systems that apply independent criteria for validating proposals, which criteria may not be available external to the individual systems. Moreover, the systems may lack an ability to validate proposals prior to submitting such proposals for commitment. A centralized network call parameter validation system as disclosed herein may validate potential network calls with high confidence by applying probability models of data pattern and hashing digit checksum to potential network call parameter values, which models are generated based on statistical analysis of historical network call values.

  • Publication number: 20240071593
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that provide smart alerts to users, e.g., alerts to users about diabetic states that are only provided when it makes sense to do so, e.g., when the system can predict or estimate that the user is not already cognitively aware of their current condition, e.g., particularly where the current condition is a diabetic state warranting attention. In this way, the alert or alarm is personalized and made particularly effective for that user. Such systems and methods still alert the user when action is necessary, e.g., a bolus or temporary basal rate change, or provide a response to a missed bolus or a need for correction, but do not alert when action is unnecessary, e.g., if the user is already estimated or predicted to be cognitively aware of the diabetic state warranting attention, or if corrective action was already taken.

  • Publication number: 20230390641
Abstract: A toy system for use in a social play experience. The toy system has a plurality of toy construction elements and a data processing system configured to store a hierarchical task structure. The task structure defines dependencies between a plurality of tasks, a subset of which include construction of respective toy construction assemblies. The data processing system is configured to select one or more tasks and assign to respective play participants. The selection and/or assignment of the one tasks is based at least in part on the dependencies between the plurality of tasks. The data processing system is configured to present, to each play participant to whom a task has been assigned, the corresponding assigned task and receive user-input indicative of a completion of the respective assigned tasks, and repeat until a play completion trigger is fulfilled.

  • Patent number: 11834167
Abstract: A VTOL drone aircraft can include a rechargeable battery, a primary processor, lift propellers, an internal combustion engine with a thrust propeller, a generator, and a power regulation controller. The generator can receive power from the internal combustion engine and deliver electrical power to the rechargeable battery, the lift propellers, or both. The power regulation controller can regulate dynamically power delivery from the internal combustion engine to the thrust propeller and the generator, and from the generator to the rechargeable battery based upon changing conditions during flight. The power regulation controller can prevent operation of the generator when peak power is needed from the internal combustion engine for the thrust propeller. The power regulation controller can also control a clutch coupled to the thrust propeller to regulate the delivery of power to the thrust propeller when the internal combustion engine is active.

  • Publication number: 20230375372
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a magnetoresistive quadrant detector for use in a magnetic sensing device comprising a magnetic multi-turn sensor and an angle turn sensor, in particular, an angle sensor configured to provide 180° absolute angle measurements, such as an anisotropic magnetoresistive (AMR) angle sensor. The quadrant detector is formed of at least two magnetoresistive elements, preferably giant magnetoresistive (GMR) elements, which may be integrated to the multi-turn sensor die or provided on a separate die within the sensor package. The magnetoresistive elements are configured to provide a unique combination of resistance states for each quadrant of magnetic field direction. This quadrant information can then be used to remedy any ambiguities in the multi-turn measurement without needing 360° absolute angle information from the single turn angle sensor.
