Abstract: A cat litter product is provided and includes manufacture primarily from modified corn starch which is processed through mash distillation. The litter product is pelletized via an extrusion technology process so as to form particles the size of wheat grain. The litter product provides, collectively, a non-toxic and naturally safe, biodegradable, odor-eliminating, scented, anti-bacterial litter that clumps in a convenient size for easy disposal and which has little dust and reduces tracking by cats.

Abstract: A toy is provided that includes a clear plastic ball to be readily movable along a supportive surface, such as the ground. Within the ball there is located a motorized character assembly. The character assembly has an upper housing cover in the form of a mouse or other rodent that would visually trigger an instinctive response in a cat or some breeds of (hunting) dogs. Beneath the upper housing cover is a motor which operates a drive wheel assembly. The drive wheel assembly is to be in continuous contact with the inner surface of the ball. The wheels further are made of soft rubber that does not slide in the internal ball surface, but rather causes the ball to roll and be propelled forward.

Abstract: A cat litter product is provided made substantially from spent distillers' grain substantially removed of starch and combined with modified starch. The combination of spent distiller's grain and modified starch form particles tending to agglomerate when wetted. In addition, zeolite is added to adsorb and desorb water, thus eliminating and preventing mildew formation, and yucca schidegira is included as an emulsifying or foaming agent which functions to inhibit urease enzyme action and to prevent the formation of NH3 (ammonia), thereby binding and neutralizing annoying and harmful odors associated therewith. Yucca schidegira further serves to help neutralize feces odor.

Abstract: A nutrient and anti-microbial delivery agent and method comprises a pet mastication article and the impregnation of nutrients, anti-microbial agents, flavoring and other suitable ingredients to enhance the flavor and healthy properties of the pet mastication article and effectively deliver desirable nutrients to a pet. The nutrients, anti-microbial agents, flavorings and other properties are impregnated by vacuum impregnation technology, wherein these agents and properties are effectively sealed into the pet mastication article and released upon use of the article by a pet.

Abstract: A toxic material sensor coating that may be used to indicate when a pet or has come into contact with a pesticide or other hazardous chemical is described. The sensor coating will change color upon exposure to subject chemicals. The sensor material may be positioned on a pet's collar or tag by means of an adhesive backing. The sensor material may be removable so that when one sensor device is spent, the device can be removed and a new sensor/indicator can be positioned in its place.

Abstract: A pet ball toy feeder which is formed from two (2) hollow semi-spherical halves, each hollow semi-spherical half member including a hook member extending inwardly from its inside wall for anchoring an elastic member, such as a rubber band, which is attached to each hook member to normally retain the two (2) hollow semi-spherical half members together in a spherical ball configuration, but permits the two (2) hollow semi-spherical half members to be pulled apart or separated to allow pet treats or pet food to be placed inside the pet toy ball feeder. In a second preferred embodiment of a pet toy ball feeder in accordance with the present invention, the two (2) hollow semi-spherical half members are joined together by snapping resilient flexible projections outwardly extending from one or both of the two (2) hollow semi-spherical half members into one or more corresponding grooves in the other of the two (2) hollow semi-spherical half members.
