  • Publication number: 20120240671
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to accurately detect an abnormality in an EGR device for an internal combustion engine with a supercharger, or more specifically, the inability of an EGR valve to fully close due, for instance, to trapped foreign matter. To achieve the object, the present invention provides an abnormality detection device for the EGR device. The abnormality detection device includes an O2 sensor which is installed in an EGR path and disposed on the exhaust path side relative to the EGR valve, and an A/F sensor which is installed in the exhaust path and disposed downstream of a connecting portion between the exhaust path and the EGR path. The abnormality detection device uses a signal output from the O2 sensor and a signal output from the A/F sensor to judge whether the EGR device is abnormal.

  • Publication number: 20120222707
Abstract: A nozzle for discharging droplets of a processing liquid for processing a substrate has a main body including a supply port, a drain port, a processing liquid flow passageway connecting the supply port and the drain port, and a plurality of discharge ports from which the processing liquid is discharged. The processing liquid flow passageway includes a plurality of branch flow channels, which branch out between the supply port and the drain port and collect together between the supply port and the drain port. The plurality of discharge ports form a plurality of columns respectively corresponding to the plurality of branch flow channels; and are aligned along and connected to the corresponding branch flow channels. A piezo element applies vibration to the processing liquid flowing through the plurality of branch flow channels.

  • Patent number: 7958899
Abstract: At a vibration applying position, ultrasonic vibration is applied upon a liquid film which is on a surface of a substrate. Concurrently with this, at a drop arrival position which is different from the vibration applying position, drops of a cleaning liquid are supplied to the liquid film, whereby wave-generating vibration which is different from the ultrasonic vibration is applied upon the liquid film. This dramatically improves removal of particles adhering to the surface of the substrate as compared with mere application of ultrasonic vibration. Hence, even when the output, the frequency and the like of the ultrasonic vibration are set to such an extent not damaging the substrate, it is possible to effectively remove particles with the wave-generating vibration and favorably clean the surface of the substrate.

  • Patent number: 7691314
Abstract: In an injection compression molding method, dies are clamped with low pressure and a melted thermoplastic resin composition is filled in a cavity space from a gate while moving the cavity space relative to the gate, and then the dies are clamped with a high pressure substantially simultaneously with completion of the filling to compress and form the thermoplastic resin composition filled in the cavity space. Since the thermoplastic resin composition containing a high content of thermally-conductive filler such as an electrically-conductive filler can be injected and compressed to be molded, the injection compression molding method can be applied in manufacturing molding such as a fuel cell separator and a flat antenna.

  • Patent number: 6457917
Abstract: The method of forming a light-weight, fiber-reinforced, particularly glass fiber-reinforced-thermoplastic resin product includes the steps of melting and mixing thermoplastic resin pellets containing parallely oriented fibers 2-100 mm long, injecting the melted resin into a cavity which is closed so that its volume is smaller than that of the final molded product, and, before or after the resin injection is completed, opening the cavity until its volume is equal to that of the final molded product. Unlike the conventional injection-molded products, this product does not require a foaming agent and, if it uses any, requires only a small amount of foaming agent. The product thus formed is light in weight and has fibers uniformly entangled inside, providing an excellent appearance of the surface. Further a skin layer is formed over the surface. These features combined with the reinforcement by the glass fibers offer high strength and high stiffness.
