  • Publication number: 20230282874
Abstract: Metal-ion battery cells are provided that take advantage of the disclosed “doping” process. The cells may be fabricated from anode and cathode electrodes, a separator, and an electrolyte. A metal-ion additive may be incorporated into (i) one or more of the electrodes, (ii) the separator, or (iii) the electrolyte. The metal-ion additive provides additional donor ions corresponding to the metal ions stored and released by anode and cathode active material particles. An activation potential may then be applied to the anode and cathode electrodes to release the additional donor ions into the battery cell.

  • Publication number: 20230260116
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for detecting and describing heterogeneity in a cell sample are disclosed herein. A plurality of fields of view (FOV) are generated for one or more areas of interest (AOI) within an image of the cell sample are generated. Hyperspectral or multispectral data from each FOV is organized into an image stack containing one or more z-layers, with each z-layer containing intensity data for a single marker at each pixel in the FOV. A cluster analysis is applied to the image stacks, wherein the clustering algorithm groups pixels having a similar ratio of detectable marker intensity across layers of the z-axis, thereby generating a plurality of clusters having similar expression patterns.

  • Publication number: 20230005834
Abstract: An electrical component is provided by metallizing holes that extend through a glass substrate. The electrical component can be fabricated by forcing a suspension of electrically conductive particles suspended in a liquid medium through the holes. The suspension can be forced into the holes under an air pressure differential such as a pressure differential force, a centrifugal force, or an electrostatic force. The liquid medium in the holes can be dried, and the particles can be sintered. The particles can further be packed in the hole. Alternatively or additionally, the particles can be pressed against the outer surfaces of the substrate to produce buttons.

  • Patent number: 11544281
Abstract: In some embodiments, a model training system trains a sample generation model configured to generate synthetic data entries for a dataset. The sample generation model includes a prior model for generating an estimated latent vector from a partially observed data entry, a proposal model for generating a latent vector from a data entry of the dataset and a mask corresponding to the partially observed data entry, and a generative model for generating the synthetic data entries from the latent vector and the partially observed data entry. The model training system trains the sample generation model to optimize an objective function that includes a first term determined using the synthetic data entries and a second term determined using the estimated latent vector and the latent vector. The trained sample generation model can be executed on a client computing device to service queries using the generated synthetic data entries.

  • Patent number: 11355002
Abstract: A method for an alarm silencing or suppression routine following activation of a wake-up alarm on an electronic device (42). The method comprises, following the alarm activation, monitoring (14) light levels at a light sensor (44) of the device and automatically silencing (20) or otherwise suppressing the alarm signal responsive to sensing (16) a light level at the sensor above a pre-defined threshold. Following alarm signal suppression, a further confirmatory monitoring period follows in which light levels at the sensor continue to be monitored (22). If they fall to below a further predefined threshold (26), or below the original silencing threshold, the alarm signal is reactivated (28). This ensures that a user has not returned to a darkened environment a short space of time after alarm silencing, which might lead to the user falling back to sleep.
