  • Publication number: 20090035819
Abstract: The CA125 gene has been cloned and multiple repeat sequences as well as the carboxy terminus have been identified. The CA125 molecule comprises three major domains: an extracellular amino terminal domain (Domain 1); a large multiple repeat domain (Domain 2); and a carboxy terminal domain (Domain 3) which includes a transmembrane anchor with a short cytoplasmic domain. The amino terminal domain is assembled by combining five genomic exons, four very short amino terminal sequences and one extraordinarily large exon. This domain is dominated by its capacity for O-glycosylation and its resultant richness in serine and threonine residues. Additionally, an amino terminal extension is present, which comprises four genomic exons. The amino acid composition of the amino terminal extension was found to be consistent with the amino acid composition of the amino terminal domain. The molecular structure is dominated by a repeat domain comprising 156 amino acid repeat units, which encompass the epitope binding sites.

  • Publication number: 20070246578
Abstract: A showerhead has at least a first set of nozzles and a second set of nozzles for discharging water. The showerhead discharges water according to one of multiple water delivery functions, where a first water delivery function corresponds to water being discharged through only the first set of nozzles, a second water delivery function corresponds to water being discharged through only the second set of nozzles and a third water delivery function corresponds to water being discharged through the first and second sets of nozzles simultaneously. The spacing between the first set of nozzles and the second set of nozzles is carefully selected so that the third water delivery function corresponds to the integrated nozzles of the first and second sets of nozzles. As a result, the third water delivery function provides a coherent and balanced water flow resulting in a more pleasant feel.

  • Patent number: 7096341
Abstract: In a data storage system in which there can be multiple references to a single instance of an object, a method for regenerating the number of references to each object instance. The method includes radix sorting the references to the objects to generate a reference list, counting the references to each unique object and merging the counts with the object descriptions, placing the count of the number of references to each object into the respective object description. The sorting, counting and merging techniques used by this method generate sequential memory access patterns that enable efficient use of low-cost memory and block-oriented memory access interconnect fabric protocols. Furthermore, multiple instances of the sorting, counting and merging processes can be used in parallel to reduce the time required to regenerate the reference counts for a large number of objects.
