  • Patent number: 5575675
Abstract: A feeding-side connector and a receiving-side connector are provisionally fitted to each other so that these connectors are locked by engagement of a locking hole of the feeding-side connector and a locking arm of the receiving-side connector. In this state, the lever of a toggle mechanism is pushed down forward until it hits on the front surface of a lever chamber. Thus, a fixed assembly composed of a connector body and a wire protection jig for a group of wires connected to the female terminals thereof advances to complete the electric connection between the female terminals and male terminals. The driving side link and follower side link of the lever are placed in the state concaved in a rotating direction of the lever from its substantially horizontal direction, thus locking these links.

  • Patent number: 5545049
Abstract: A connector of a type where a female connector and a male connector are fitted to each other wit ha small force through the use of a lever. An elongated hollow case houses a connector body slidable in an front half of the case. The connector body has a plurality of terminals therein. A handle is mounted to a rear half of the case and is adapted to advance and retract with the connector body longitudinally within the case. A lever has a acting portion and an operating portion and journaled at an intermediate portion thereof within the case. The acting portion is pivotally connected to the handle or the connector body. The operating portion projects outwardly of the case. Pivoting the lever about the intermediate portion journaled within the case causes the connector body to advance said connector body into a fitting engagement with an external mating connector body.

  • Patent number: 5501607
Abstract: The waterproof structure for a charging connector includes a body cover for opening and closing the opening of a recessed portion formed in a vehicle body, and also includes a waterproof cap for covering a charging connector arranged to project from the bottom surface of the recessed portion. The waterproof cap is journalled openably and closably near a connecting opening formed in the charging connector, and a cam surface is provided around the axis of the journalled portion of the waterproof cap. The waterproof cap can be switchingly moved in its opening and closing directions by an elastic member contactably disposed with the cam surface. When the body cover is closed, then the waterproof cap is pushed by the body cover, thereby closing the connecting opening of the charging connector.

  • Patent number: 5480489
Abstract: A film forming device having a support bed for mounting a semiconductor substrate thereon, a heating device for heating the semiconductor substrate by way of the support bed and a source gas supply means for supplying a source gas for growing a thin film on the semiconductor substrate, wherein the support bed is divided into a contact portion in contact at least with the semiconductor substrate and a fixed portion which is disposed to the outer circumference of the support bed and fixed to side walls of a reaction chamber. Preferably, the contact portion of the support bed is made of a material having high heat conductivity, while the fixed portion is made of a material having low heat conductivity. The temperature distribution of the susceptor and the distribution for the thickness of the film formed can be improved, as well as particles can be suppressed.

  • Patent number: 5433628
Abstract: A sealing mechanism for a connector and a method of producing a connector wherein undesirable invasion of water and oil from terminals in an earth connector, an engine connector or the like can reliably be prevented. A sealing mechanism for a connector is constructed such that a plurality of transversely extending grooves are formed on the opposite surfaces of an embedding portion of a terminal extending outside of a wall portion of a connector housing 1, and the connector housing and the terminal are molded integral with each other in the presence of a sealable coating agent applied to the embedding portion. A method of producing a connector is practiced by way of the steps of applying a sealable coating agent to an embedding portion of a terminal extending from a connector housing, and Subsequently, molding the connector housing integral with the terminal in the presence of the sealable coating agent applied to the embedding portion.

  • Patent number: 5374591
Abstract: A metal plug is formed in a connection hole such as a via hole or a contact hole to provide an interconnection between multilayer wires in a semiconductor integrated circuit. First, an adhesion layer is deposited on an insulating film, and an area of the adhesion layer is etched away isotropic etching through an opening in a resist mask, the area being larger than the opening in the resist mask. Thereafter, the insulating film is etched through the opening in the resist mask by anisotropic etching, forming a connection hole in the insulating film. Then, a metal layer such as a blanket tungsten layer is deposited on the adhesion layer and in the connection hole. The metal layer is etched back and the adhesion layer is etched away, leaving the metal layer as a metal plug in the connection hole.
