  • Patent number: 8047726
Abstract: An optical connector in which the housing property into a cabinet or the like can be enhanced because of the compactification, and which can solve problems of the increase of the bending loss of an optical fiber, the breakage, and the like is obtained. In an optical connector which houses and holds a fusion spliced portion where a short optical fiber previously fitted to an optical connector ferrule is fusion-spliced with a coated optical fiber, one end of a protection sleeve which armors the fusion spliced portion is coupled to the optical connector ferrule. As a result, the length of the protection sleeve which covers the fusion spliced portion so that the fusion spliced portion is positioned at the middle can be set with reference to an end portion of the optical connector ferrule. Therefore, the protection sleeve can be shortened, and compactification of the optical connector can be realized.

  • Patent number: 7991054
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for processing informational signal etc. that are preferably applied to a digital broadcast receiver etc. A class classification portion (130) generates a class code CL for indicating a class to which pixel data y of a target position in an image signal Vb belongs. From an accumulation table (131), based on this class code CL, difference data DF (correction data of encoding noise) that corresponds to the target position is read. Pixel data (pixel value or DCT coefficient) x that corresponds to the target position in the image signal Vb is supplied to an addition portion (134). The addition portion 134 adds the difference data DF read out of the accumulation table (131) to this pixel data x, to obtain pixel data y of the target position in the image signal Vb. Encoding noise (encoding distortion) of this pixel data y is reduced.

  • Patent number: 7990723
Abstract: A housing structure of an acoustic controller, in which a lower case of the controller has an increased rigidity and improved moldability. The lower case is integrally formed by a resin and has a bottom surface thereof disposed to face a tabletop surface when the controller is in a stationarily placed thereon. The bottom surface of the lower case is formed to have a concave-forming portion that defines a concave space communicating with the outside of the controller on the left and right sides thereof and which is upward convex as viewed when the controller is stationarily placed, thus increasing the rigidity of the lower case. Bosses and vertical ribs formed to project upward from a horizontal part of the concave-forming portion of the lower case each have a reduced height, thereby improving the moldability of the lower case.

  • Patent number: 7986797
Abstract: A signal processing system, a signal processing apparatus and method, a recording medium, and a program in which high frequency components of a narrow-range signal having suppressed high frequency components can be restored with high accuracy. A narrow-range audio signal having low frequency components is divided into frames by a frame-unit dividing unit, and is spectral-transformed into a signal on a frequency domain by a DCT transform unit. A learning-produced-data table extracts, at an address corresponding to a class code supplied from a classifying unit, high-frequency-component DCT spectrum data. In a spectrum combining unit, the extracted high-frequency-component DCT spectrum data is combined with low-frequency-component DCT spectrum data output from the DCT transform unit. Subsequently, a broad-range audio signal having combined high frequency components and low frequency components is output.

  • Patent number: 7899208
Abstract: The present invention relates to image processing apparatus and method, a recording medium, and a program for providing reliable tracking of a tracking point. When a right eye 502 of a human face 504 serving as a tracking point is tracked in a frame n?1 and when a tracking point 501 appears as in a frame n, the tracking point 501 continues to be tracked. When, as in a frame n+1, the right eye 502 serving as the tracking point 501 disappears due to the rotation of the face 504 of an object to be tracked, the tracking point is transferred to a left eye 503, which is a different point of the face 504 serving as the object including the right eye 502. The present invention is applicable to a security camera system.
